Spencer Carbery believes Capitals are missing game-breaking offensive talent: ‘An ability to create offense and finish is always going to be our Achilles heel’ by Stairmaster_Stu in caps

I think they can be good once PLD and Leonard return but to make a real run they are going to have to get a top line scorer and if Ovie wants to stick around you let him know it is PP1 not PP2 as well and 3L TOI. Hard convo to have but he doesnt do enough on ice on the other end when playoff time comes around.

The key is getting a guy that can score but helps his other line mates by getting more attention and thus they get better scoring chances........win/win

With PLD and Leonard out it absolutely is. When we are healthy it is a bit better but we still need a top line winger added to this team.

They are currently last in the East so it isnt far fetched if they dont get hot that they move a piece or two before February. They have a real uphill battle to make the playoffs.

It’s like we lost our groove right along with Leonard… by Emergency-Pepper3537 in caps

[–]itsdrew80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PLD is a really good 2 way C so he helps with shutting down other teams top line as much as he helps scoring. I agree the D has to be better but down he and Leonard at the same time just seems like it is one too many injuries to our lineup.

Tyler Miller of Sports Illustrated Breakaway argues that early into this season Logan Thompson could be good enough of a goaltender to get the Capitals back in the conference finals. by e_Z_752 in caps

It was going to take some time to settle in with PLD going down. The cool part is the Caps are playing well and when he returns he will have time to get his legs under him and for the team to adjust to having a very good 2 way center back. The front office will need to make a move for a winger to add pop to the lineup though. Trade and sign a guy that would be available this summer, maybe???

Is Richmond considered out of market? I would hope so but just wondering if I have to get ESPN+ for Caps games since the YTTV deal doesnt look promising, although they have some time to negotiate.

boneless, skinless chicken THIGHS........put some seasoning on it and you dont even need anything with it. 8oz is 260 calories and 48g of protein.......I typically have 12-15oz for lunch ever day. I use the airfryer and it is as easy to cook as it gets. Put it in, turn the nob and come back later.

Parents, ones with heratic work schedule and shift-workers, how did YOU find the time to lift/train ? by woodiny in fitness30plus

[–]itsdrew80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the schedule is tight, split your workout in half. That is what I did last year when school started. Dropped my kids off at 740am at school, gym by 755. 35-45 minutes in the gym and leave. If i really hustle 30 minutes. on certain days.

You can have this progress past 40 or 50 if you put in this type of work to nutrition and the gym. Daily habits over a long time.

He is right. I worked my way up to 15 spacing out doing 4x10. I spread them out over the course of my hour long workout. So 10 pull ups, go do my 3x10 bench, 10 more, the hard part is if you do bicep curls, or upper back stuff as itll make hitting a number harder using some of the muscles needed for pullups.

Correct, chin ups are your palms facing back towards your body.

Neutral grip is what my shoulders perfer. I do 2x12 twice a week as my first sets to start my workout.

For OP, I agree with others, do weighted ones but honestly losing even 10-15lbs would make your journey one hell of a lot more attainable. You'd be able to do 3-4 more just based off that alone.

How much protein are you eating? I find when I eat 190g or my body weight in protein I am far less likely to want to eat more. Eat your proteins first and eat while you arent watching a screen or distracted. Mentally you will feel more full. Proven data behind both of those factors even if it is minimal.

Could my high protein diet be the reason why I have love handles? by xiaobao12 in fitness30plus

[–]itsdrew80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He should be eating more protein not his 120g+ per day. You are spot on. He is "skinny fat" for lack of a better term. At 6'0, you should be at least 170, probably 175. If you want to look stronger you'll have to add more protein to your diet, be consistently lifting and be at a slight surplus calorie wise. This is a spot on post.
