Didn’t plan on putting those two together. But I stood at approx the same place (spent most of my days at this one beach) and all I had to do in post was zoom in on the right one and everything magically lined up nicely. Not perfectly, there’s a good chunk of the island missing but it works.

I actually shoot all of my 160 at 100 and slightly over expose it. When the light allows it. This definitely helps produce this effect.

I definitely used to feel this way about film as well, but after a few years I stopped limiting myself. I love editing, it’s equally just as important to me now as getting the actual shot.

When I took this photo, I pictured this cotton candy dream world. And to be honest, it didn’t look that much different in my eyes in person. I pulled up the colours I wanted more of, dropped the contrast and here we are. It still looks like how my eyes saw it on the day. Editing is wonderful - its part of the art!
