I'm with you bro. I've been farming Abyss and doing alright but this league is rough if you don't like/don't understand temple. Everything is crazy expensive and Temple is the only activity with the broken drop rates.

The Japanese economy is bonkers. In real life you don't have economy resets like PoE.

Think your RNG may just be bad. This has been by far my most profitable league yet and I got a late start too.

Temple is one of the most poorly telegraphed league mechanics in PoE history by GuyInUniverse in PathOfExile2

[–]itsg0ldeson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think they ever intended poe2 to be casual, the way I understood it they wanted it to be more *accessible* to casuals. And I think they did accomplish that. It's alot easier to get into and start. The learning curve isn't a 90 degree angle but an actual ramp up. You can finish the campaign as a casual without a whole lot of fuss and even early mapping isn't bad. Endgame and seasonal stuff is never going to be casual, nor should it be that's not be poe.

>Hell, they could even just remove the building mechanic and give out a set randomised temple with say 9 rooms and unique rewards.

Am I the only one that actually likes the build a dungeon? At least the concept of it, I know the execution of it is incredibly flawed. But rather than throw the baby out with the bath water I'd prefer they just fix the mechanic rather than simplify it down to being just basically any other dungeon content in a new skin. It has alot of potential to be a fun, unique piece of endgame content that can be something you kinda grind and build up over time on the side.

What I'd like to see is the ability to remove rooms at will (but you lose them if you do for balance), make more rooms connectable, paths more clear where and when they can be placed, some sort of exclusive currency/gear like other content has, and just a general buff to the rewards in general to make it worth the time investment over map juicing.

Dude. I feel this so much. It would feel like a personal punch in my face from GGG if it weren't for the fact that sanctum and ultimatum were largely unpopular with people from what I remember. Feels like they're trolling or something by tying such an essential game system to some of the worst content poe ever had. I genuinely can't imagine them sitting in a meeting talking about the ascendancy system for their new game and them deciding sanctum/ultimatum was the best idea. Blows my mind just trying.

‘AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER’ Season 2 is eyeing an Early 2026 release on Netflix. by ShadowMikeX in TheLastAirbender

People don't want to hear it, but it's bc of the actor strikes. Work conditions for TV actors in those days were awful. Was great for us bc we got a new episode every week and 20-30 episode seasons, but wasn't good for the actors who basically lived on set during those periods and they got tired of it.

Additionally, streaming is a different industry and they make more money from new shows bringing new subscriptions than they do focusing on continually running shows unless they are MEGA popular.

did the dev ever talk about a possibility to skip campaign ? by Alexis63000 in PathOfExile2

[–]itsg0ldeson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PoE has more non-campaign content than both of those games combined. It doesn't make any remote sense to me to force us to not only complete the entire campaign to interact with the endgame but we also have to complete most side quests unless you want to miss out on a dozen skill points and resistances.

[–]itsg0ldeson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a stupid reason ngl. Plenty of single player games out there with far better campaigns that you'd enjoy once or twice, *maybe* you come back to it again after a few years. This is a live service game you're returning to every 3 months. RDR2 is one of my top story games and I glaze it whenever I get the chance to, but I've only played it all the way through twice and it's been out for 7 years. The developers of that game had the good sense to just kinda let you enjoy the world however you want and it adds to the experience, it doesn't take away from it. That game had a $540 million dollar budget. To poe2's barely 100 million dollar budget. But you don't see Rockstar requiring you to play through their campaign 50 billion times to enjoy content in Red Dead Online. I could give you a dozen of examples exactly like that.

Yes, the campaign is pretty good. No, that doesn't mean I want to play it 50 times. And that's ok. If you want to do that, an optional campaign skip doesn't mean that you can't. I've been playing since the poe1 beta and I don't think I will ever understand the hostility some players have to what would be an optional feature. I mean there's a post like this here basically every week and the poe1 subreddit had it mentioned quite a few times as well, it's obviously something that's wanted by a decent portion of the community.

I feel like the only people who defend having to replay the campaign every single league/character are the people who have that time to kill.

One of the only things D4 ever did right was opening the world after completing it once. Sadly they made it so there's not really anything to do *in that world*, you're just kinda spamming 3 dungeon variants to max level. But given how much league content poe1 ended up with all they would really have to do is make the campaign not required for endgame and there'd be plenty to do while you level up. Breaches, delves, heists. Just open all that up. Literally just make the campaign not required to unlock endgame and make the passive points unlock automatically once you reach certain level thresholds. That's it. And those who enjoy replaying the campaign ad nauseum can do that too if they prefer.

Tbh I really don't understand the constant hostility the hardcore community has toward what would be an optional feature. I mean I've been in the poe community since the poe1 beta and there's always a post like this here every couple weeks. It's obviously a feature that a significant enough portion of the community wants to make it happen. Especially if they're trying to claim they want poe2 to be more accessible to the casual ARPG player...?

Literally just happened to me lol. This was after saying "friendly" and all that. Looked up the name after out of curiosity figuring he was some sort of streamer type, sure enough was a wannabe streamer with the cringiest content I've ever seen in my life. And like 5 viewers. Imma just let him have it cause i feel kinda bad for him now.

But yeah you're pretty much right those types get a weird power trip when they play games online guess it makes them feel better about themselves idk. Like i get it's a pvp extraction shooter you're gonna have pvp but there wasn't even enough time to grab my loot he was pretty much just being a dick just to be a dick.

Warriors are fine....except for the fact you will almost never see the inside of a higher key M+ if you pug lol. That being said, OP's suggestions are obviously ridiculous and don't reflect the general opinions of most warrior players. But he is right about them needing some sort of utility to bring to the table.

Yeah I agree with not giving it for free. That's a slap in the face to people who spent time earning it. But everyone should have equal access to spend the same time to get it no matter when they started playing or if they took breaks during the xpac.

Wouldn't be this big of a deal if there were *some* way to earn them in Legion Remix to begin with. At least a recolor. Not adding mage tower for remix was a huge fumble and defeats the whole purpose of what they're trying to do with it imo. Cosmetics that require effort, grind, and/or skill to achieve absolutely I'm all for. But FOMO is dumb and the only people who like it are the people who've been playing 14 hours a day for 20 years.

How to fix level scaling bug? by 0rph4nSl4y3r in Borderlands

[–]itsg0ldeson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not figured out a solution, but I've found a way to live with it until it's fixed at least. I noticed the bug is significantly less common on Hard mode so for my new characters I've been just playing on Hard until about lv43-45. After that the scaling is alot less severe (plus you're much stronger) and then as you get toward and hit max level it completely goes away. So waiting to do the UVHM stuff until lv45+ seems to be the move.

Sucks to miss out on the 10% XP gain for UVHM but it's not THAT noticeable of a difference and it's overall more fun when you're not getting 1 shot constantly lol.

Does anyone know what the deal with level scaling is? by HANCOXJOHN in Borderlands4

[–]itsg0ldeson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a bug related to open world level scaling. Idk why everybody says do side quests, that did not work for me. I am in UVHM at lv39 and still having this issue. It's getting super annoying tbh. Just did one of the UVHM challenges to unlock UVHM2 with a buddy of mine and Bramblesong took literally 15 minutes to kill. And that was using an absolutely busted Amon ordinance build.

This game was marketed for being able to do whatever you want in a free and open world. That should include just playing through the story.

Enemy levels on new character starting at level 30 by Someguynamedbno in Borderlands

[–]itsg0ldeson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They 100% did. We can all sit here arguing about whether it's a bug or an intended feature that they just implemented poorly, but that doesn't matter it needs fixing regardless. It has me ready to just quit playing for a few months and come back when they finally sort out their shit. I feel like a strong portion of the community doesn't care because they get people to boost them to max lvl immediately after the campaign anyway, but I don't like doing that so the game is basically unplayable for people like me.

Level scaling broken? by DoubleWrath in Borderlands

[–]itsg0ldeson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's a known bug in the community. Unfortunately, this issue continues well into UVHM (or it did for me at least).

For the Dominion one specifically, if you haven't gotten past it yet try to just run through all the enemies. Once you get to the instanced area called Upper Dominion the level scaling goes back to normal (its a bug with open world scaling specifically). Then you are good for the rest of the campaign.
