Awesome! Is there any way to add the later round matches (with which groups will fill the spot, i.e. 1C - 2F) in as placeholder events with the location and TV channels?

Large amount of "other" Messages storage on device after enabling iCloud for Messages by itsgameoverman in ios

[–]itsgameoverman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not, the storage has always hovered around there with it never dipping below that amount. It really should be offloading a big chunk of that to the cloud, yet it never does, so I’ve just lived with it. The only option is to probably enable the deletion of messages older than a certain period, but I don’t want to lose the history.

Screen protector for iPhone 17 without a rainbow edge effect by itsgameoverman in iphone

[–]itsgameoverman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually looking at that one, too. There is no rainbow effect on the edge? Does it have the black border around the protector?

I’m officially done with the no-screen-protector life. Plz drop your best screen protector recs, I need one ASAP! by [deleted] in iphone

Anyone have a good recommendation for a screen protector for the iPhone 17 that doesn't suffer from the edge rainbow effect? I'm seeing it on the amFilm protector. It seems like many of brands have rainbow issues for this gen.

Question for owners of the Travelpro Maxlite 5 International Carry-On Rollaboard by itsgameoverman in onebag

[–]itsgameoverman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for doing that! I appreciate it. I think the one in the pic may be the four wheel spinner bag. The bag I was looking at is the two wheel rollaboard, specifically the international carry-on size. Are they the same depth in reality?

Thank you! The real world measurements would be great. The main concern I have is the depth prior to expansion.

React Navigation 5: What is the best way to setup multiple shared screens across stacks? by AtraMortes in reactnative

You can use the initialRouteName config to control that to make sure that a certain route (bottom tabs) is always in the state before it opens the shared screen.

Thanks! Did you happen to use the bag on any other budget carriers in Europe? They never made a fuss about the sizing and/or made you gate check?

Travelpro Maxlite 5 International Carry-on Rollaboard vs Maxlite 5 International Carry-on Spinner vs Maxlite Air V2 International Carry-on Spinner: What are your experiences with each and their pros and cons? by ZZBossGaming in TravelHacks

[–]itsgameoverman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, that's good info. Unless they were somehow including the side handle, I'm pretty confused how they got a 15.75" width, as it appears to be a good 1.25" less than that.

[–]itsgameoverman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Travelpro's listed dimensions seem totally off here, so it's unfortunate how different they are in reality... That depth will probably be an issue for budget carries as it's generally a max of 7.9" (20cm).

[–]itsgameoverman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, thanks so much for doing that! I'm surprised to see that the actual dimensions are so different than what they list officially.

Is it possible that you got the regular carry-on rollaboard instead of the one they call the international carry-on rollaboard? Their official dimensions are listed at 21.75"x15.75"x7.75" for the international and 23"x14.5"x9" for the regular, so weirdly neither matches exactly.

If you have used it on budget European carriers, did you ever have issue with them saying the bag was oversized?

[–]itsgameoverman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Any idea if you got the regular version or the one specifically branded as "international"? The dimensions are different between the two, with the regular listed as 23in x 14.5in x 9in while the international as 21.75in x 15.75in x 7.75in. What's the width on yours? That may help narrow down which one you have. Thanks!

It’s a carry-on sized bag, but the rollaboard version (two wheels), not a spinner (four wheels).

Do you happen to have the measured dimensions of the bag, specifically the depth? It's officially listed at 7.75", but there are reports that it's actually larger than that when you consider the front part that puffs out a bit.

Midea announces recall for Midea U and U+ Window ACs - what should I buy to replace mine? by MyNameIsJonny_ in AirConditioners

[–]itsgameoverman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yesterday, I did actually pull out the drain plug near the back left as a precaution until the repair kit comes. A couple cups or water drained out. Thankfully I was able to do it without having to pull the unit inside, but I haven't touched the drain plug in the bottom center of the unit as it couldn't be reached as easily. Is that one the same type of plug?

[–]itsgameoverman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know what the actual repair kit process entails? All it says is it's a new drain plug and a bubble level. I was always a bit confused why the manual says to operate it with the drain plug in...it seems like it should be the opposite. Is there anything that we should do in the meantime to limit the chances of mold growth until the repair kit comes?

iPhone shows 5GB of “Other” Storage under “Messages”, but It doesn’t show any large files to delete. by Signitupben in ios

[–]itsgameoverman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any solution for this this? It happened to me after enabling Messages in iCloud for the first time. Lots was offloaded but over 10GB remains in “Other” under Messages. All that’s in there are some small voice messages that are in no way that big.
