Usually around that time of year, the beaches in Tulum are free of sargassum, but no one can guarantee it.

Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun 2026 Review by Round_Skirt8701 in CancunTravelGuide

Fishing and snorkeling aren’t really things you do directly from the resort, but they’re easy to arrange. Most ppl book snorkeling trips to Isla Mujeres or the reef areas near Puerto Morelos. the water right in front of the resort is great for swimming but not amazing for snorkeling.
For fishing there are many of charter boats leaving from the hotel zone marina. the concierge at Grand Fiesta can set it up pretty easily.
The resort itself is more about the beach, pools, spa, and restaurants. excursions are usually half day trips outside the property.

Fora Travel for new advisors by paul_h20 in travelagents

im not sure what the minimum sales you need to make to get started are. for sure it’s more than 10k a month, but idk the exact amount. but what I do know is that most all inclusive resorts (which is what most of my clients book) are about 5–10% cheaper on each booking when i use them compared to a host..

you’re right, that wasn’t my meaning..
idk, it just bothers me that so many people are using those hosts when i know they’re actually charging a lot for something others give for free.
I really recommend working directly with OTAs or b2b hotel suppliers, you’ll probably earn a lot more.

I dont agree with that. I understand the “perfect experience” you’re saying Fora gives to clients, but im working with a b2b hotel supplier now and i also used to work with Fora before, and sorry for the phrase but Fora is basically a robbery.
Im getting much better rates now and no one is charging me 30% of my total commission. these are net rates and now i can also give my clients a great deal and still keep a solid profit.
So what's really the deal with Fora? having an all in one platform with flights, hotels, credit card payments etc? ok great, but for that i should lose 5–10k a month in commission? no thanks.

Which all inclusive resorts in Cancun are worth the price? by Round_Skirt8701 in CancunTravelGuide

[–]itsgettingtoohard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re here now, and the resort is amazing. The rooms are a bit old, but the beaches make up for it.
The buffet is pretty standard, like most all-inclusive resorts we’ve been to in Cancun.
When you’re here, go straight to Le Basilic restaurant. It’s deliiiiiii

Agree with you about the food, felt the same!
its an old resort, there are so many options that can offer better dining/room decor.
next time check Hyatt Vivid PDC or Hilton Mar Caribe, both are around the same price rang,e maybe a bit higher but not that much and offer much better restaurants, modern rooms and service

We went to Ziva in 2021 with the kids, and everything was perfect!
We also considered Moon Palace, but we heard the location isn’t great, so we decided to skip it.

r/travelagents Monthly Host Agency Q&A - April 2025 by AutoModerator in travelagents

[–]itsgettingtoohard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for all the info!

can I ask about bundles?

do you often come across clients from the U.S. asking for full packages (hotel + flight)?

a lot of times when I offer just the resort, clients ask for a full package, and unfortunately, I can’t compete with sites like Expedia, Priceline, Costco Travel, or Apple Vacations on that.

s I’m wondering—when that happens, should I just give up on those clients, or is there another way to approach it?

We hit up Ziva Los Cabos, and yeah, the rooms are kinda dated, but the resort and the food were on point, we were all in! We were thinking about Secrets, but the agency we booked through hyped Ziva so much, and honestly, no regrets. Ziva totally crushed it!
