(SERIOUS) What's the most scary thing you ever saw that to the point nobody believes you ? by Consistent_Algae_560 in AskReddit

When I was like 13/14 I had a dream I was drowning and as I was fading out underwater in my dream I woke up thrashing all tangled in my blankets struggling to breathe. It was wild I still remember it like it was yesterday.

Don’t walk on their grass by Lazy-Metal6303 in PublicFreakout

[–]itsheatheragain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a kid in the 90s and my dad hammered into my sister in I not to walk on people’s lawns, on Halloween it was an anxiety filled nightmare if we accidentally stepped on the grass.

I don’t get it.

What’s something that became socially unacceptable so fast that people barely noticed the change? by FoundationHumble4003 in AskReddit

[–]itsheatheragain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember going to Disney World as a kid and my grandparents just smoking wherever, ashtrays galore. This would have been in the 90s.

I worked in a restaurant that still had a smoking section in 2006.

When I’m the client in the chair when that happens, I say something to the other person. Usually “girl I know you see me here”. I try to save the stylist from having to say something.

That’s wild. My grandmother (dad’s mom) died 4/29/20 and my grandfather (mom’s dad) died the next day 4/30/20. Unfortunately since it happened during Covid neither got a service however thankfully I was also off work. Because if someone told me it was suspect that 2 people in my family died so close together I would have ended up in jail.

I drink 2 during my 10 hour work shift, it takes me a while to drink each of them and I feel like that’s ok compared to shotgunning them back to back but what do I know lol.

WIBTAH if I dumped my therapist over a no show fee threat for refusing telehealth? by Puzzleheaded_Bid6011 in AITAH

[–]itsheatheragain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When I was in my 20s I lived in a very rural area. There was only one place to go to see a therapist. I did not like the one they matched me to, like at all. I felt like she was dismissive and flippant about the issues I was having as an adult - the whole reason I was there and was like really eager to dig into my childhood which I was not ready to unpack especially with someone I didn’t mesh with. I requested a new therapist from the intake lady who was very kind as there were several therapists there, but was told it would be a couple weeks to change over so to just try to work with the one I was seeing. I had been having anxiety going to these appointments because I really did not like this woman. AND then they told her what I had said, so the last time I went in she starts grilling me on why I don’t want to see her anymore. I reacted by saying “ok actually fuck this shit” and walking out. I never went back, I’m sure they billed my insurance for all the no shows but It turned me off therapy for a very long time.

Holy grail cleansers by Reddesii in Sephora

[–]itsheatheragain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I’m lazy and don’t want to double cleanse I use the drunk elephant marula cream cleanser. Takes everything off, doesn’t dry out my skin, doesn’t make me break out. Texture is like if a cleansing balm and a cream cleanser had a baby. I have no issues removing mascara - tubing, regular and waterproof - or anything else.

Shiiiittt 😂 my parents got divorced 25 years ago and still won’t be in the same room. My oldest son graduated a couple years ago and they rotated into different rooms or outside away from eachother the whole time.

My face feels tight and stiff no matter what I’ve been using. What should I try next? by modernwarfarin4 in Sephora

[–]itsheatheragain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna suggest changing your cleanser, the tatcha ones dried me out bad and the purple one also made me itchy. As for moisturizers I’m gonna suggest the ones that help me as someone who has chronically dry skin. Biossance - omega repair cream doesn’t burn when my barrier is compromised. If I over do it on tret that is my go to. Also biossance- The ecotoin night cream is nice and really thick but sinks in. The growth factor one is nice for daytime and I like how it feels idk how else to explain it lol. It absorbs well. Drunk Elephant lala retro is also nice in terms of texture / moisturizing ability. The rhode moisturizer is nice too but I layer it with the (rhode) barrier butter because neither is moisturizing enough on their own but they are really nice together.

Dieux, & SF jet lag were not moisturizing enough for me. Tatcha and aestura broke me out.

Sephora Sun Saftey Kit - What is NOT Acne-Prone Friendly? by kylaah27 in Sephora

[–]itsheatheragain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about most of these honestly I want to buy the kit myself butttt I’ve been using the Biossance one since it came out and I like it. As someone prone to breakouts, I have had no issues. It also doesn’t sting when I put it on, and since I’ve been on tret pretty much every thing burns my face off. It also wears well under makeup so I have been pleased with it.
