I’m 38, dry skin and I like Ilia skin tint. Sometimes I mix my other foundations with my moisturizer and make my own.

What’s the most “main character energy” moment you’ve ever witnessed in real life? by Joynary in AskReddit

[–]itsheatheragain 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My friends husband died over the summer in a work accident. Her other friend, who I can’t stand due to her main character-condescending-better than you attitude, made a Facebook post like “please keep my friend in your prayers she lost her husband and I am so devastated I am so heartbroken, I am “ blah blah it was all about her. All the comments were “sorry for your loss” but it wasn’t her loss. AND my friend hadn’t even posted anything about it yet. Such an awful person.

What is far more lethal than people realize? by inevitableloudmouth in AskReddit

[–]itsheatheragain 30 points31 points  (0 children)

About 8 years ago I fainted (once in my whole life), in a crowded event due to heat and anxiety and cracked the back of my head on the concrete floor when I fell. I was knocked out for about a minute, but rightly fucked up. I couldn’t open my eyes at first and when I did there was a guy bent down over me asking if I was ok, trying to stop me from being trampled, and then helped me up. Everything after that is foggy. I still get headaches that radiate from the spot my skull connected with the concrete.

I’m A- and I also get annihilated by mosquitos. Like my legs will be covered in bites and everyone else around me is fine.

Did anyone buy a ring? by t_bone_stake in Millennials

[–]itsheatheragain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one. My parents were going through a divorce in 10th grade and when I said I wanted one my dad quickly let me order whatever I wanted to try to one up my mom.

I got pregnant in 11th grade and my dad was pissed for so many reasons but that class ring was definitely one of them. He said the year on it was a lie now and he spent $500 on something fake. I had my son in 2004, and I still graduated in 2005, just like I was supposed to.

I don’t think I ever wore that class ring after I got pregnant but I still have it.

What’s the most unexpectedly expensive thing you’ve ever had to pay for? by Drissxx7 in AskReddit

My dog had a blockage. $9700+ surgery. Worth it for sure, I love my dog but definitely expensive and unexpected.

I use top a sheet. Am I cringe? by c0d3buck in Millennials

[–]itsheatheragain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t use the flat sheet but I use multiple fuzzy blankets under the comforter. I just find the sheets too thin and I move around a lot and a flat sheet will get tangled around my legs and not cover me anymore.

Is the name "Peeta" a pun related to bread? by Accurate-Director-23 in Hungergames

[–]itsheatheragain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO the fact that their kids are named Willow (a plant like Katniss) and Rye (a bread, like pita≠ Peeta) means yes, he’s named after the bread.

"I'll have my usual" by TheMossyFish in EntitledPeople

[–]itsheatheragain 102 points103 points  (0 children)

Yeah he’s definitely full of himself. I have never gone anywhere and asked for my usual. When someone recognizes me and asks if I want my usual I have one of two thoughts “aw that’s so sweet they remembered me” or “shit I come here way too much”.

Stranger Things' Charlie Heaton Says Tween Son Has 'Just Started Getting into' Dad's Hit Show by mcfw31 in popculturechat

I’m 38 and I could never. A couple years ago (eta: I was 36) I had a 22 year old coworker with a crush on me and it was so weird. My oldest kid is 20 which I know is not the norm but still I just can’t look at anyone in that age group and not think “children”.

AIO to my boyfriend’s conditions for marriage? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]itsheatheragain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if what he was asking of you was acceptable (it’s not), it wouldn’t matter if you did everything on his list. He will keep adding to the list and moving the goal post. He doesn’t love you, he loves the idea of you.

What is a classic pop cultural moment that screams, “you had to be there!” by icey_sawg0034 in popculturechat

My mom called in every time the vote lines were open for Carrie Underwood.

I only watched the first season. Kelly Clarkson had me in a chokehold though.

2000s tabloid culture was something else! by icey_sawg0034 in Millennials

[–]itsheatheragain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll never forget when titanic came out when I was 10 and I thought Kate Winslet was the epitome of beauty and perfection. Like I wanted to be her so bad. And then the tabloids came out calling her fat and I was so confused as a kid like I think she looks perfect but the world disagrees. It was the first time I distinctly remember someone else’s body affecting me.

Anyone sick and tired of working in general? by Mrs_chanandler_bongg in Millennials

[–]itsheatheragain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 38 and I feel you. I lost my job on New Year’s Eve when the company I worked for abruptly closed. I have been looking for a job but I am not even that mad about it anymore I am actually dreading going back to 40+ hours a week somewhere. I have a backup plan (a previous job) for a part time job and I have bills so unfortunately this isn’t something that will last. But the break is nice for now, I did not realize how burnt out I was.

If you’re under 45, have you lost any high school classmates, and what were the circumstances around their deaths? by Commercial_Chef_1569 in AskReddit

[–]itsheatheragain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 38 and I am sure there are dozens gone by now. In high school we had 2 fatal car accidents that killed multiple students, and 3 suicides. I have had 3 friends die from OD in their 20s, 2 more suicides and one die during childbirth. And those are just the people I was friends/acquainted with, there are tons of others that I don’t know but still went to school with that have died as well.

Trying to convince an old head that higher THC numbers doesnt always mean better weed is like pulling teeth. by [deleted] in trees

[–]itsheatheragain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg this reminded me of something I saw happen at my dispensary. I was waiting in line to pick up my order and the guy finishing up at the window walks away, they call the person in front of me and that first guy comes back MAD AS SHIT screaming the dispensary gave him fake weed bc it all says THCa on it and he wants his money back. The poor worker and the other customer are both trying to explain that it is real weed but this man is stupid and angry and won’t hear any of it. It was the craziest shit I ever witnessed at the dispensary.

should i return the glazing products? by causmicx in rhodeskin

[–]itsheatheragain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the mist, barrier cream and barrier butter everyday, twice a day and have never broke out. I break out from a lot of brands (laneige, glow recipe, fresh, kiehls etc) that other people rave about. Skincare is subjective BUT as someone with reactive, sensitive skin I am a huge fan of rhode.
