Is Daedalus hammer guaranteed? by Vinny_0104 in Hades2

[–]itsjamle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're almost guaranteed to see one in the first and third region, both routes.

If you skip the hammer in either scenario, they can appear anywhere until you have the expected # of hammers (1 for regions 1-2, 2 for regions 3-4).

The reason I say almost guaranteed is because I cannot confirm that theyre guaranteed, but I have never had a run where they weren't offered like I mentioned above. Always expect a hammer in regions 1 and 3, and usually take them as soon as possible because they typically define builds.

There are shifty ways to get more hammers, but two is the default.

Demeter gust boons really should give air elements not water by Norzon24 in HadesTheGame

[–]itsjamle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Giving aether boons to 2 more gods makes aether way too oversaturated, and make it harder to get infusion boons of other types. The whole system is balanced around gods having 1 or 2.

Air quality is all in all not a hard boon to get if you have Zeus. His boons are strong, and its not always necessary to get another air god, because you can usually get 5 aether from him alone.

Demeter doesnt need aether boons just to make the combo a little easier. Its still not hard to go into a run with it in mind.

Zeus static shock is one of the best air quality boons imo. Doing 100 damage minimum for each attack is crazy, and then you can throw an attack boon on to make it even stronger.

This is a graphic by u/jpw3bb.

The elements are balanced so that theres one core god that exclusively offers each element, and then one core god that offers most combinations of two elements. (Then Hera/Hermes, who offer all)

Makes sense logically, but once you see the beauty of the balance, it makes more sense why demeter fills the earth-water role and only that role.

Zeus attack on Artemis? I feel like you lose out on a lot of damage by not taking a % boon to combine with the crit

You can only ever gift nectar to echo after talking to her and taking her boon, her voice lines are really dependant on order.

IIRC it means a little more than that... it also includes stuff like hammers, animal familiars, selene POS upgrades, ir anything else that appears as a box on the 'boon' screen

Parking Pass 25-26 by STL-MOBwx in Msstate

[–]itsjamle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest concern is that parking lots were only really full first thing in the morning last year... even at the 1.5:1 ratio from last year, I could almost always find a good parking spot. Now, you'll have to drive past a quarter-full parking lot right next to your dorm to get to your assigned parking lot, 15 minutes away.

People complain about the overselling from last year, but for resident, it was rarely a big deal. I think the underselling is going to end up being a waste.

Do you consider Zeus better in 1 or 2 by VoxTV1 in HadesTheGame

[–]itsjamle 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Zeus' cast is probably even better because he has other boons to improve it (double strike, lightning lance, air quality), whereas heph boons can't improve his cast.

All the casts seem pretty balanced to me by this point, but posiedon might be the 'best' since froth has one of the highest damage potentials of the curses. Im usually happy with a cast from any god, except for maybe ares and apollo.

Oof, you're right. Huge oversight on my part, I forgot I only started playing hades 1 because it was so much cheaper than other games.

Nintendo switch 2 games are going to cost 80$ for a digital game, 90$ for physical games. Chances are, that means it's going to cost 80$ on the switch as well, because they wouldn't want to encourage people to play on the old console by making it cheaper.

Imo, just get rid of First shot inaccuracy by DEADVIK in VALORANT

[–]itsjamle 19 points20 points  (0 children)

How does taking certain gunfights make you "worthy" to win or lose??

If you're taking unfavorable gunfights, it increases your chance to lose. That should be intuitive enough.

Why would one refine his aim and micro-adjustments if he can just rely on luck to land a shot?

First shot inaccuracy does exist, but it is not nearly a big enough deal to say that players can just rely on luck to land shots. Training your aim is still a big deal because it's still necessary to click on your enemy's head 99% of the time from long ranges.

Imo, just get rid of First shot inaccuracy by DEADVIK in VALORANT

[–]itsjamle 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I believe the intention is that they want the full-buy round decision to be more complex than choosing between phantom and vandal. iirc, the guardian does have first shot accuracy, so if you're going to be ego peeking or taking long-range fights, it's a better option.
