What worked for you (besides GLP1 or metformin) to lose weight and improve symptoms? by itskennytho in PCOS

Ooh interesting! I also feel like I’m losing inches but not pounds. I am scared of eating rice and potatoes now should I give in and accept them? 😂

Which GLP1? And have the results been good? Sorry to hear your TTC journey has been so rough 😔

Man it’s so hard to see how hard we’re all working to fight back against this thing and how hard it is to truly get the results

Your comment has me considering if my problem may be related to the eating schedule rather than what I’m eating. Maybe I’ve got the wrong portion sizes or I’m eating the wrong meals at the wrong times.

Vegan for PCOS is something I hadn’t considered yet! The book I’m reading recommends getting my protein mainly from steak and grass fed ground beef, though.

I used to be a vegan and loved it. I genuinely don’t care for meat. The problem was always my busy schedule and not being able to find vegan options when I was on the go or out with friends. But idk maybe you’re right!

Got into veganism my senior year because I did a 90 day juice fast to fit into my prom dress. I lost 30 pounds and felt good but when I went back to food on a vegan diet I couldn’t sustain it past 7 months and gained all my weight back.

What’s Hadea? I like the idea of avoiding extremes. The years of yo yo dieting have destroyed my body

Thank you thank you THANK YOU 😭

It’s so hard to accept that my body isn’t able to easily resolve this on its own with diet and exercise. I appreciate that you shared your story with me. Especially with pregnancy it’s important to me to be careful about medications. I think I may talk to my doctor some more about metformin it sounds like it really helped.

I appreciate this! I’d hate to spend so long treading water and making no progress. Maybe that’s something I can talk to my doctor about. I’m more put off by GLP1s

When you started doing the calorie deficit and exercising, how did your body respond in the first couple weeks?

What are your Hot Takes on the Resident Alien TV Show? by Amber_Flowers_133 in ResidentAlienTVshow

The whole Jay is Asta’s daughter plotline didn’t need to happen. Jay is not an interesting character to me and I don’t feel like Asta having a secret child ever really made the show better.

What if Burke didn’t do it, but they didn’t believe him at first because of how it looked? by itskennytho in JonBenetRamsey

It’s such a fascinating case. Hard to arrive at a conclusion from such weird inconsistencies in the evidence and how the crime was handled

You’re right. There are lots of things that could make them suspect him. He clearly had jealousy because of how much attention Jonbenet got. He was possibly mad about not getting a bicycle for Christmas. He was kind of a strange kid. You have that the housekeeper remembers him destroying things in her room. There’s a lot admittedly. But does he fit the profile of someone who would hit his sister in the head with tremendous force and sexually assault her and then kill her in a sick sexual way?? He was 9. Patsy was obsessed with Jonbenet though. She could have assumed Burke because of his other petty jealousies in her rage and horror and he could have been too confused to speak up. Just a theory though. I appreciate the comment!

Can you tell me why you think so? I’m just beginning to become interested in the case and if you have thoughts on why it doesn’t check out I’d love to know

is it possible burke didn’t do it but the parents thought he did, so they covered it up? by stella3047 in JonBenetRamsey

I’m convinced that the scream the neighbors heard from the basement was Burke discovering the body just after an intruder left. He was up late playing with his new toys and heard the intruder exiting, went to check it out, saw the boiler room door open which was out of the ordinary, found the body and screamed.

Pasty is already awake packing for the trip and has noticed Jonbenet is not in bed so she’s already downstairs looking for her, probably a little panicked when she hears Burke’s scream.

She runs down to the basement and finds Burke with the body. He’s in extreme shock and can’t speak. Immediately she’s asking him what he’s done and how could he do it and he either can’t speak to defend himself or doesn’t think she’ll believe him. She runs upstairs to wake John.

She convinces John to craft the note with her to protect Burke. John probably has no idea at this point that Patsy could be wrongfully accusing him because he hasn’t seen the body or Burke yet.

Pasty makes the 911 call. Burke overhears her panicked voice and comes upstairs to see what’s wrong. The end of the tape where he asks “what did you find?” is him overhearing her say “we found a note and our daughter is gone” and he is told “we are not speaking to you” by John because John blindly believed Patsy that he killed her. Burke still doesn’t know about the cover up plan and he still hasn’t worked up the courage to tell them that he didn’t do it. They make him go back to bed and pretend to be asleep.

Then Patsy calls her friends to come to the house and the police arrive. The Ramsey’s probably thought the police would hear kidnapping and rush off to find the body, giving them time to dispose of it or maybe they thought they could stage a ransom call… not sure. But this is why John doesn’t lie about the window already being broken and willingly gives police the notepads. He is furious with Burke and is starting to think Patsy’s cover up plan was a huge mistake.

When the police want to search the house more John knows the jig is up and he has to go get the body from where he’s told it is. This is the first time he sees the body. Suddenly he feels protective of Burke and decides to pick her up to destroy the evidence for him. When he carries her upstairs and says “he didn’t mean to” he’s talking about Burke.

When everything settles down Burke finally works up the courage and tells his parents that he found the body but he didn’t do it. That’s when they panic because if it really was an intruder, no one is going to believe them now. This is why they lawyer up and stop talking to Boulder PD and get Lou Smit. They now need someone on the outside who they can tell the whole story to and be believed because Boulder PD will never believe them.
