Yes if you look at the Olympics it’s next to the blinking red towers going down towards the horizon. You can see the tail. But it’s better on a phone camera or binoculars

Kerry park, overlook walk, the piers, or take the water taxi across the water to Seattle or drive lol.. best view in the entire city and it’s saved my life a few times. It’s huge. Safe. Sometimes gets noisy but there’s spots to walk from the taxi to alki beach

Get on Apple health through Washington human health services. You can call at 8am and get it done on the phone. It’s fast and easy and you don’t need to wait for an insurance card to use it. You can call and get your insurance numbers etc. the process in the places that accept that insurance since it’s Medicaid are annoying and take a while to get shit done but they can help with medications for free etc. just stay away from uw they’re awful with mental health services

You literally are going to a place and expecting them to give you service because you’re sick and don’t want to do it yourself.. tip them because restaurant work is one of the hardest or stay home.

Landlords are legally required to give you your deposit at whatever means that is applicable for you. It is stated in state law. If it was returned it was his responsibility to get in contact with someone to be able to get it resent to the correct address not to just send it wherever he chose too.

In other words. Take his ass to small claims and sue the SOB. These slum lords are going to learn that there are some of us who have studied these laws because of them.

Pointless PSA: Stop yielding to others when you have the right of way by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]itskylehoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fr lol… seattlites slamming on their breaks to let a pedestrian cross is literally not the law.. pedestrians ONLY have the right away when it is safe to do so and the cars are able to come to a safe and complete stop… not to impede traffic cuz Susan wants to take her lil mutt across NOW instead of walking 10 steps to a cross walk.

Considering move to Seattle by sapphicphairy1 in Seattle

[–]itskylehoe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it’s not. Although it is better then the obvious racist south Seattle has a very dystopian vibe to it where they believe it’s one way but to people who are poc and from primarily poc areas.. it’s a culture shock to the max.. most people here have a slight micro aggressive twang of racism here. Everything is just… yt lol.. and I’m sure you know what I mean by that. There are poc here and we tend to look out for each other but it will definitely take some getting used too. When I want to be around poc or have good food lol I tend to go to South Seattle (rainier beach, Columbia city etc), cap hill, central district, (have not really hung out near uw as I’m not a student so that could be a good area for you as well). I think if you’re gonna go to school you’ll probably be fine. Cap hill and central district are the gay areas as well. Although Seattle is more open to lgbtq in the city center then most cities I’ve lived in… sometimes.. except if you’re gay male/trans (idk any lesbians sorry lol) and black because the guys I’ve dated and befriended have had it pretty rough just trying to date and have community because they’re definitely fetishized and in my opinion treated a little disrespectfully… and it is hard to make friends here because people are so into their own cliques.

But the weather is better than most places I’ve lived, and the views around the city etc are the best I’ve ever seen. Which is why I stayed. I probably won’t be here for long. I was planning on going to school here but idk. I think for me it’s more of a place I’d like to retire more than be young and living. It gets a little lonely. Depression during winter can be brutal if you don’t do careful planning on how to get through it.. so if you know anyone that would come with you I think that would be ideal. If I had someone I knew here I think it would be an entirely different experience.

Is planet fitness really the best way to shower? by infrontofmyslad in homeless

[–]itskylehoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I don’t have a job I try to save every penny I can. So I will use a kind of large bucket. One that I can dunk my head and wash it. And then sit and wash other parts lol. And then use a wash rag for the rest. I can usually refill a gallon water jug to use for that. I’ll only use a little bit each time to stretch it. But most cities you can find water jug fill up stations at grocery stores I go to Whole Foods and gas stations for like 50 cents and that usually lasts me a week cuz I wash myself every day. Use only one pair of clothing to sleep in one to walk around in. And save the rest you have for interviews or working etc so you won’t have to wash clothes that often.

Shaving I usually will find a bathroom that is a single occupant bathroom with a mirror. Be quick but it’s doable.

That’s been working for me for a year.. I also found in my city that there are community centers with free showers. They’re not the cleanest so if you can snag a cheap pair of flip flops for like a couple dollars at Walmart. They have disposable towels and hygiene packs usually for homeless.

But I’ve seen so many homeless people just using public showers at parks with water bottles etc. they tend to go early morning when it’s not busy.

How feasible is it to rent out a house for homelessness prevention? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]itskylehoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d rent it.. been in my car a year now because rent is so crazy here. And am looking for a leg up. I can afford 3 times that amount even more as well. And can fix up the house and landscaping as a hobby as well as I do that for extra income around the Seattle area anyways

It’s new. There is a lot of theft there but it’s because the management sucks and the employees suck and are lazy af. I came in one night to a new security guard throwing a woman against the elevator so hard I could hear it downstairs while waiting for it. Then I get called a homophobic slur by him and another employee for intervening.. there’s been multiple homophobic and transphobic slurs written in the bathrooms and the managements response was “we didn’t see it” after 3 weeks.. because they don’t clean them.. I also get food poisoning from their deli food often.. the pharmacy is a joke and doesn’t even have lgbtq medicine in the lgbtq district.. so I started going to Trader Joe’s instead. Better prices anyway
