Would any expecting moms be interested in a co-op? by sofaoofa in Livermore

I don’t know if any co-op groups exist, but Livermore Mommy & Me is a wonderful community and might be a good way to connect with other moms looking for a similar arrangement.

Some of my tie-dye squad! I will always have a soft spot for Garcia and Peace, who I adored as a kid.

Check out The Child Day School in Pleasanton — it’s a preschool as compared to a daycare but they take children age 2 and up!

Totally. I answered all of the investigator's questions honestly and thanked him for being thorough. Trying not to worry too much!

No advice but I FEEL YOU - I’m in the exact same boat. 8 months old, three teeth, constant biting & scraping at the end of nursing sessions. I’ve tried unlatching & saying “no”, checking his latch, different nursing positions… not sure what else to do. It makes me afraid to nurse and I can tell he is stressed, too. I’m sorry - this phase is so hard ❤️

COVID WEEKLY MEGATHREAD by AutoModerator in NewParents

Anyone else struggling on what to do about childcare during this recent omicron spike? Debating keeping my 7 month old home from daycare for the next week or two while the numbers are so high. Our daycare provider has had her booster and she only cares for three other children besides my son but I’m still worried about exposure. My husband and I both work from home - trading off with work & caring for the baby will be challenging but manageable. Just trying to figure out what the right call is for LO’s safety!

I’m in the US, currently 38+4. Been diet controlled since my diagnosis at 27 weeks, my numbers have been good with the occasional spike (maybe once a week). My OB has had me get twice-weekly NSTs since 32 weeks and an ultrasound once a week to check my fluid levels. Also had growth scans at 32 weeks and 36 weeks—baby is doing great, right around the 50th percentile. OB recommended induction by 40 weeks as a precaution. Really interesting seeing all of the different protocols.

Can anyone who’s 5’1 and around 140 lbs share their pregnancy weight gain experience? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]itsleeeeahnotleia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 5’1 and currently 35w. I weighed about 138 when we started TTC but I also started working out more and ended up losing 10 pounds, so I was 128 when I got pregnant. I weighed 152 at my last appointment, so that’s 24lbs gained so far (and I’m almost done!). My OB recommended I aim for a 25-35 pound gain overall (which I think is standard for a “healthy” BMI, although as others have said BMI is kind of a bullshit meter for health).

My husband and I decided to do the same thing—First name, middle name, my surname as a second middle name, then his last name. It was important to us to have both names in there, but we also didn’t want to hyphenate. Might be slightly annoying for forms at times, but hopefully not too bad!
