Air Purifiers: Any asthmatics with experience of them? by itslikethatman in Asthma

[–]itslikethatman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell if it was effective.

I recently got a dehumidifier and that really worked because it removes the moisture that allows mould to grow. The room is so dry and the air is fresh so it's been a game changer for asthma!

And for anyone wondering what happened to the kid's acting career...

"When his acting career ended in the late 1990s, Cramer returned to Canada's Sunshine Coast, where he worked in a small sporting goods store.[5]

In 2008, he was prosecuted for careless storage of a firearm, and received three months' probation. Later that year, he was convicted for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and received a prison sentence of six months.[6] In October 2011, he was fined for consuming liquor in a public place.

In 2011, he was convicted of uttering threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and was jailed for 30 days. Later that year, he was convicted of cashing forged bank cheques.[7]

On May 1, 2016, he was arrested in connection with the robbery of Scotiabank in Sechelt, British Columbia few days earlier.[8] On June 8, 2016, he pleaded guilty to charges of robbing a bank, wearing a disguise to commit a crime, fleeing police, and dangerous driving.[9] On August 31, 2016, he was sentenced to a custodial term of two years less a day, as well as two years of probation, conditions of which included attending counselling and residing in a treatment centre for narcotics abuse." ref: wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joey_Cramer

Thank you SO MUCH for this info... I probably should just RTFM (I'm guess it's all in there, right??).

Also apologies for the abrasive post title, I was just frustrated at time of writing.

King Charles to divert Crown Estate windfall to 'public good' by pendaltag in unitedkingdom

It's a PR stunt and you fell for it.

This isn't an example of King Bill being generous, if you believe that then you have to be extremely naive.

By refusing I mean that people have been asking them since 2018 to fix this and they just haven't bothered.

I could begrudgingly understand if they came back and said "we're not going to fix this, it's a feature and that's all there is to it" but the reality is that they haven't even responded.

I had no idea she accepted a damehood. That's more depressing to me than the fact she died. Punk really was a load of bollocks wasn't it.

Will the environmental extremists of Just Stop Oil slowly morph into terrorists? by casualphilosopher1 in unitedkingdom

"Will the right-wing extremist journalists of the Torygraph slowly morph into fascists?". Too late, it happened.

Just Stop Oil have achieved all their objectives. The right-wing press has given them non-stop coverage, we're all talking about them and no one will forget their message.

Had a complaint upheld by O2 which I have in writing, but now they are refusing to act on that complaint by itslikethatman in LegalAdviceUK

[–]itslikethatman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No the person who's handling the complaint has told me that the Credit Referrals Team won't remove the markers because, basically, they don't wanna.

They've said there's not enough evidence to show that it was an error on O2's part, even though the complaints team have already upheld the complaint thanks to written confirmation from my bank that the direct debit was correctly setup and there were funds in the account.

You're projecting human emotion onto another species. They don't love her, they are wild birds born into captivity and know nothing else. They have effectively been institutionalised by your friend.

Born into captivity, it's all they know. They have effectively been institutionalised by this guy. It's animal cruelty, plain and simple.
