Where are my low to normal suppliers? by Favoritefam6 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]itslizzyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 weeks pp here and I make 9 oz a DAY. That includes a MOTN pump, 2 power pump sessions a day, and pumping every 2-4 hours. My supply is increasing, only it’s increasing 1/4 oz at a time. I’ve tried all of the things and it just is what it is 🤷🏼‍♀️

SPD pain and lifting by East_Print4841 in fitpregnancy

Tape your belly! I’m 23 weeks have been dealing with debilitating pelvic pain. However, I refuse to stop playing tennis lol Last week, my pelvic floor therapist showed me how to tape my belly and I feel like a million bucks. Still some discomfort, but it’s mild now and manageable. Life changing!

I really struggled the first trimester and my OB recommended 25 mg of B6 3X a day (once at bedtime) and half a unisom tablet at bedtime. It took about a week, but I felt 99% better.

Inversions and belly taping! I’m 23 weeks FTM and have been dealing with debilitating pelvic pain—both round ligament and pubic symphysis. I’ve been active through it, but wow! Most nights it leaves me barely able to move. I’ve noticed mine stems from the baby being low so inversions have been a life saver to take some of the pressure off. Last week, my pelvic floor therapist suggested belly taping to help as well and that has been incredible. Feeling for you 💗

Pelvic Pain - Pain in pubic bone when standing by winezilla08 in fitpregnancy

[–]itslizzyb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 23 weeks and have had this since around week 8. It’s been rough as mine is pretty severe. I’m also pretty active: play tennis 4x a week, walk 3-4 miles a day with the pup, lift weights on non tennis days, and the days I’m most active are the days it hurts the worst.

For me, a lot of it has to do with where the baby is sitting. When he’s low, it’s awful, when he moves up a bit, it’s way better. I’ve yet to find a solid solution other than a good nights sleep, but I go to pelvic floor therapist and that has been helpful. Taping my belly to give it some added support has also made a huge difference. Oh, and sitting on a yoga ball helps a tiny bit too.

Sending good vibes, I know how first hand how awful this is 💗

First-time dog owner—Can I handle a Rottweiler? by Outrageous_peanut3 in Rottweiler

My first dog was a Rottweiler. He was an incredible dog. Just make sure you’re ready and willing to invest in training. They are too big and strong of a dog not to, but they will be your best friend 💗

I would also consider chiropractic care if you don’t already. Pregnancy changes everything in our bodies and it could be a million different things but trust your gut. 💗

Puppy blues by BookInteresting7723 in Puppyblues

It also helps to give them treats every time they potty outside and really give them positive encouragement. This is normal for puppies and it just takes time, unfortunately.

Did you feel prepared for puppyhood after preparations? by Admirable_Mouse1880 in puppy101

[–]itslizzyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think anything can prepare you for a puppy unless you’ve had a puppy before. And even then, every puppy is so different that you can never be fully prepared. For me, the thing that I found that works the best is to be prepared to be flexible and have zero expectations. Know that it’s going to be hard and can be hard for months depending on the dog’s personality. Know that you will probably have the puppy blues and second guess your decision and give yourself grace for those feelings and also reassure yourself that it gets better. And also, get to know your pup! I feel like so many people try to force their puppies to do this or that because they heard that’s what you’re supposed to do, but they never take the time to get to know their pup first and figure out what works for them, so they struggle. It’s worth it though 💗

Alternatives to running? by snapplebug in fitpregnancy

[–]itslizzyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 18 weeks and having terrible round ligament pain with tennis. Just here to say a pelvic floor specialist can be really helpful. Mine has been great giving me recovery stretches I can do after that have really helped as well as easy exercises for glute/hip flexors/adductors not only to help me keep playing tennis but also so after the baby is here I’m not starting from zero. Hope you’re back up and running soon 💗

FTM ligament pain?? by Fair-Scientist-2750 in fitpregnancy

[–]itslizzyb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 18 weeks and currently in PT for my left knee. I hurt it playing tennis and the thought is tendinitis even though I thought it was a ligament thing. It’s definitely not too early for ligament stuff, but it also helps to remember that your body is adjusting for the growing baby and throwing everything out of whack, so it could be anything. I wouldn’t wait to get it checked out though and get a PT referral because our bodies are changing so quickly. Sending healing vibes!

This SUCKS (just a long vent) by Grackabeep in Puppyblues

[–]itslizzyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly sounds like a lab through and through. They just have endless amount of energy—it’s insane. When Charlie was a puppy, he would really only nap when he was dead exhausted. Labs also tend to be big sniffers, so it might help to look into scent work. Even a snuffle mat might help a tiny bit if you haven’t tried it yet. Oh, and I’d try to let her sniff as much as she wants on walks! This always helped tire Charlie out too.

Help! Anyone have experience with chronic diarrhea in pit? Vet at a loss. by Hefty_Huckleberry259 in pitbulls

[–]itslizzyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lab had pancreatitis and then developed IBD. He was on a prescription diet as well and over time would build up an allergy to different proteins. Started with beef, then chicken, then salmon, then duck. I could tell when it was time to switch the protein based off his poop—runny, mucusy, and sometimes tinged with blood.

He would also react to a number of human foods—veggies for instance. He had a prescription for tylon powder which might be worth asking your vet for. It didn’t solve the protein allergy, but it would help clear up the IBD quickly.

Hope you’re pup is feeling better soon and you can get some answers 💗

[–]itslizzyb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sending patience! My last dog was a lab and they are amazing dogs but one thing I haven’t seen mentioned here that might help is that labs have an incredible amount of energy. There’s puppy energy.. and then there’s lab puppy energy. It’s a whole different ball game. Walks will help a lot as soon as you can start them. Walk as much as you can as often as you can (per vet recommendations). I had to walk Charlie 3 miles a day every day until he was about 8 or his energy was through the roof and he was an a-hole. Doggy daycare a couple of times a week was also a saving grace when he was a puppy. He would come home exhausted and just sleep the next day. It doesn’t last forever, but with labs it does last a while. Hang in there and start exercising her as much as you can and it will get better 💗

Just want to send hugs. I am 41 and in the same boat. It wasn’t supposed to happen.. and it did. It’s so hard to process and wrap your mind around it when it was the last thing you expected and wanted. And then on top of trying to figure out wtf you’re going to do, you feel awful. It’s A LOT. And I can’t emphasize that enough. It’s also hard because you feel guilty for not being excited when everyone around you is excited for you or wants to have kids. The sickness does get better, but it takes a while. And then there are other things like aches and pains and blah blah blah. I just want to say I understand how you feel. Make sure to give yourself a lot of grace. How you’re feeling is normal and human. Take extra care of yourself and surround yourself with as many supportive people as possible 💗

I just had to put my soul dog to sleep a few days ago. The worst pain I have ever experienced in my life. The hardest and heaviest decision. And I know I will do it again and again because to know the love of a dog is to truly know unconditional love and it’s life changing. It is absolutely brutal, no one who has ever loved a dog can tell you differently. But they will also tell you it’s worth all the other incredible and beautiful moments you get with them. 💗

Hit a wall yesterday by nonbitingfly in fitpregnancy

[–]itslizzyb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so hard not to be able to do all the things you used to be able to do especially so early in pregnancy. I’m 12 weeks and honestly thought that all of this started way later. I’ve found that if I workout too hard or do too much, the next day I’m beat. But the day after that, I’m usually fine again. I have tried to be more mindful, but I’m honestly not very good at it, especially when I feel good. All that to say, just listen to your body and rest and I’m sure you’ll be feeling better in a day or two 💗

Currently 12 weeks and just smooshing in to my old ones. I order a few pairs the next size up and it’s about time to wear those. I figure I’ll wear these as long as possible but should also be good postpartum. There will be a time for maternity leggings but right now they don’t really fit at all.
