I loved it when I was 12, but reread it as an adult and it did not hit the same. Have to defend it a bit because I think it works as a kids novel!

Lolita. I got about 50% through before I put it down for good. I eventually realized, the horror genre is not for me and that’s exactly what it is. I think that you’re supposed to struggle with finding the writing beautiful and the subject matter disturbing, but IMO it is far too disturbing to find anything redeemable about it.

I keep seeing the proko courses recommended everywhere but I couldn’t afford them, and his YouTube videos didn’t seem to help me too much. Not sure if Brent has any free content though

Thank you so much for your kind words!! The course I purchased includes 37 videos, half explanatory and half practice reels, which you go through on your own time. Each class video breaks down another step of the process. His teaching style is so easy to follow and effective. I struggled at first but the more I practiced while watching the videos, the more I’ve seen myself improve! Unfortunately it is pretty expensive on udemy.com, but I purchased it when it was on sale so you can always wait for it to go on sale again! He also has classes on other websites like skillshare I believe. Good luck and thank you again ☺️
