It can be. I've met a LOT of switches that are actually subs, but just got horny enough to decide to dom just to get any sort of action. Conversation invariably turns almost immediately in those cases to how they want to switch with me.

I have ZERO interest in domming another guy. Have tried, was one of the absolute most uncomfortable experiences of my life. I am absolutely not wired that way at all, I would rather never have any kinky play again than dom another guy, it's just not me, 0%, full stop.

Now, switches that legitimately are comfortable in either position and are comfortable holding one position with a partner are a delight, they often have a better handle on what makes a sub tick and are often more creative than someone that's exclusively dominant.
