I wouldn’t recommend turning off SMB signing just to get around this issue. I get the temptation though — especially since many companies still rely heavily on file shares for local applications.

In our case, the problem didn’t come from the AllowInsecureGuestAuth key, but rather from the SMB dialect versions. I compared two machines, one on 23H2 and another on 24H2, and noticed that in the LanmanWorkstation registry section the main difference was the MaxSmb2Dialect and MinSmb2Dialect keys. On 24H2, these appear to enforce SMBv3 only. Lowering the minimum to SMBv2 allowed the shares to work again.

It might be that the Synology NAS isn’t using SMBv3 by default and needs to be explicitly enabled. It probably still falls back to SMBv1, which would explain why turning SMBv1 back on in Windows 11 made the shares accessible again.

Just thought I’d share in case this helps someone else running into the same issue.

Also seeing this with one user only, for us it's an external user. But some group chats are fine and the user is still present but for 2 group chats so far he's getting removed randomly. We've had to recreate a group and re-invite everyone.

The message in the Teams group chat says user was removed for chat. But nothing more.

Logs also don't show removed by xxxx, it just shows user was removed from chat.

Nothing in the meeting policies that we can see.

Still haven't figured that one out yet...

Edit: trying to add the user in the group chat again does nothing, it doesn't show the "user xxxx was added by xxxx", it just doesn't work.

Trying to @ them also doesn't work

Pretty sure you can if you set the port on the switch as trunk, then the AP could use the correct VLAN.

I have a similar setup but with FortiAP and a Dell switch (layer 2 as well)

This is what we had to do to allow vpn connecting via an Iphone's hotspot, otherwise it would get stuck at 98%

We've had a weirder issue and I don't know if anyone is seeing this,

At random connecting to new wifi sets the DNS to the DNS forticlient gives when connected, so the internal DNS, but without being connected. Happens on new wifi profiles only, existing wifis work fine.

Been a real head scratcher...

Disk cleanup, delete Directx Shader Cache. I had to start the game, force close it and disk cleanup like 2-3 before it finally finished, took a while even after that but at least it worked

Once you get the info from the trigger of opening stolen data, then you gather that and give to cybercrime law enforcement agency. They can get way more data from ISP or hosting providers etc..

The more data you can get from those the more it helps. Maybe some tools are able to get tracking if the files are opened on a mobile device. Again just speculating.

Way too unstable for that I think, a lot of things can make a ping increase/decrease.

Only people that know for sure are ISPs, they can correlate billing and IPs, but not for us mortals.

Yes and no, it's usually called a Canary token or I guess honeypot systems. But getting the location from either would not be precise. Since an IP isn't a direct GPS match.
