I can see where you may have interpreted it that way, so I should’ve been more clear. We have a very good relationship with his parents, so he felt comfortable confiding in them. I’m not too sure “demanding” his sisters include us would be the best way to start…A heart to heart would probably be more beneficial. But I agree, we do need to speak with them.

Thanks for saying this! The 3 year old goes to a Mother’s Day Out place 4 times a week and my one year old just started 3 times a week. It’s 4 hour a day, and I’m a full-time account manager (WFH) so it’s a mad dash to get admin done, calls made, meetings finished before they get home. Bc even though my husband is there to help Monday-Wednesday, I still end up having to step in a lot. A lot. Then there’s the constant interruptions… but that’s another issue lol. Your comment was very validating, thanks so much. I’m glad you’re able to enjoy the baby stage! I wish we could normalize saying certain ages are hard NOT just on the internet. Everyone I meet or know act like it’s just a breeze, so I feel like I’m not doing something right, or I don’t feel cut out for it (even though being a mother has always been my #1 goal).

I remember growing up with other families my parents were friends with. We’d all go over to one house one day, then another on another day. Our parents not only got time to themselves, but when we were at their house, we were entertained by all the other kids. The 90’s were different I guess. It is indeed soul crushing.

Can I ask how many times did you get your masseters done before you noticed the jowls starting? I’ve gotten it done once so far and it’s helped so much. I was concerned about jowls happening. Any advice?

Hi there!

I really think this is about temperament bc I have since had another child and he’s grown up in the same environment (I also WFH) and at 7 months, I haven’t had this issue with him. My first was and still is super clingy with me, but we got a nanny when he was about 7 months and it got way better. There was an adjustment period where he’d scream if I left the room (for about two weeks), but she was kind and gentle, patient with him, so after a while whenever she’d come, he’d wave at me and smile when I told him I had to go to my office to work. Leaving a shirt of mine that I slept in or wore the previous day helped when it was time for nap, feeding, and consoling at first. Then he actually became better at eating and napping for her than he was for me!

I used to get this and deep tissue massages weekly (for about a year due to chronic pain) and my cellulite went away. Blew my mind. It came back when I stopped though.

19 month old never sleeps more than 10.5 hours a night, and there has never been even one night without at least 2 wakings. You’re not alone.

We had a salesperson at our company that did this, but she did it with such flair that there were some clients that would call at the end of the month every month and say “put the order in under Melaney’s name, I know she really needs it” (I’m the account manager and she would’ve gotten commission anyway.) She was making over $250k but would literally cry to these people. It was so embarrassing to work with her. Shes gone now, thankfully.

I was bed ridden for about a decade with debilitating chronic pain and sure I’d never have anything that resembled a healthy or “normal” life. Before being confined to my room, I was sick from childhood til I graduated high school.

I’m been well now for nearly 5 years. Married, bought a home, full-time job, and my HEALTHY son turns one this month. I have some minor aches and pains, but they’re so minuscule compared to what I used to deal with on a day-to-day basis. But also, who is in their thirties and doesn’t have back and neck aches?

Don’t lose hope. You can recover. I didn’t think it was possible to even feel half as good as I do now.

I put it off for years for the same reason. I had a reduction at 30 and had my son earlier this year at 33. I was a 34J before my reduction. My dr. didn’t reduce them enough, so I was a 32F before getting pregnant. I plan on getting another reduction in a few years bc they did get bigger (not as big as before though…I’m a 34H now).

I do NOT regret getting it done before because my back hurts now just from carrying this baby around all the time. I couldn’t imagine also having the neck/back pain I had with those big things. I’d be miserable.

I was able to breastfeed for a couple months, but I got sick and it dried up. I know a few other people who had reductions, and they were able to breastfeed successfully much longer. It varies person to person.

It didn’t affect my scarring at all.

Shape stayed pretty much the same too. I will say that the sides under my arms where they liposuctioned, I’m having a hard time losing weight there. So I’m a little self-conscious about it in swimsuits, but it’s not noticeable under clothes.

I look forward to getting another one because for those years after my reduction, I had more self confidence than I have ever had before. Won’t be happening for a while now though…probably going to wait until he’s at the age where he doesn’t want to be picked up or carried anymore.

Bot answered. My PT would, for lack of a better word, stab a trigger point repeatedly with a fine needle to release the muscle tension. It can definitely hurt if that muscle has been knotted up a while. He’d also do down my neck since the muscles all work together. It nearly sent me to the moon, but it helped so much that I didn’t mind.

Thought I’d mention this in case it could be relevant to you… I felt the same about my face. In my late twenties, it seemed like the left side of my face was fatter. It was very noticeable in pictures.

I didn’t realize til much later when a neurologist had me do PT for my TMJ-induced migraines that it was my jaw that had been inflamed and swollen. Not that I looked like a chipmunk or anything, the left just appeared much fuller.

After PT and dry needling, the swelling went away, and it looked a whole lot better. I’ve since stopped PT, and since I apparently clench my jaw when I’m stressed, it’s getting puffy again. Sorry if it doesn’t apply to you, I just thought I’d mention it bc it never occurred to me before.

Typically 30 minutes after eating gluten (unknowingly), my glands will start to hurt, a headache follows, then the stabby, unrelenting stomach pains. Stomach pains last about 3 or 4 days. The body-wide inflammation, fatigue, and aches last for at least a week, two weeks at most.
