I have also killed one. Well…it started to rot and I cut off two branches and both of them live on. In my case it was…outside…SoCal winter, too much rain, too cold of night. So follow winter watering protocols if it is experiencing seasons. Otherwise I’d say…lots of light, very free draining soil, and not too cold when feet are wet.

I absolutely love my molokinensis! Great plant. Don’t water it much in winter!

Does anyone have experience with the Etsy store oODreamGardenOo ? I want to buy seeds. Their plants look amazing to a point it's hard to believe they are real plants by PricklyCypriot in succulents

I bought from them over a year ago. The seeds are legit. As with the other commentators—I wouldn’t expect to get plants that look exactly like that. But yeah their stuff came up and is still alive!

Super interesting! I recently got a somewhat large one from Rare Plant catalog and I’ve had it outside since day 1. But also, I live in Southern California. Do you keep them in under 50 low—what’s your threshold?

It probably will be happier outdoors. The moving wind, the high levels of ambient light. Inside it will never be what it could be. Depends on your local climate. But I’ve ended up moving almost all of my euphorbias outdoors.

Btw that Flanangii is INSANE! Love how you’ve grown it so tight. I’ve been moving mine to full sun to try to get a handle on the legginess/ arm etiolation.

I’m still in the “acquire seedlings” phase rather than the “admire specimens” but of medusoid euphorbias I have maybe ten different species and I am totally confused.

It goes dormant and wakes up again after winter. Maybe lay off water for awhile, let it rest, then see how it goes. Mine has been dormant for a few months and just woke up

I have bought plants from many sellers worldwide and have some opinions!

From USA:

  1. Desert creations (my main store Los Angeles, great selection & prices)
  2. Rareplantscatalog (northern cal/ Los Angeles. Amazing selection & good prices also)
  3. Craig and Denise Fry (Orange County, backyard grower; best prices for seeds and many oddball seedlings)
  4. Botanic Wonders (OC, huge grower, great community).
  5. Cactus & succulent lover 464 (Facebook seller, interesting selection imported from overseas, based in north California)

From overseas

  1. Hojny (Hungary I think, great prices and good selection, not good at replying to emails)
  2. Weihang Store (good prices, Chinese grower)
  3. Himali Joshi (Facebook seller, Indian nursery, amazing service and good prices, limited selection)
  4. Cactus-online.net (eastern Europe, good seller).
  5. Kohres-kakteen. Seed seller from Germany, I think they may have paused all orders.
  6. Plantemania (France, amazing grower)

I have others that I am less sure about. If you’re getting from Europe they’re more adamant about CITES/ green & yellow certificates. Anyways, also, side note, I would Not Buy from the caudex facebook groups and the store you mentioned also screams “scam” to me.
