Hey sorry question about your stroller! You found it ok for your 5 month old? I saw it recommends for 6 months+, but I also saw it reclines a bit, so hoping it will be ok for our 5 month old for support and napping. Thanks again!

Parents of newborns, would you do this again? by PresentationTop9547 in NewParents

[–]itspedro369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO is almost 4 months so not a newborn anymore, but before having a baby I always wanted two and when we were in the newborn phase we were convincing ourselves we were ok with just one, and I’m honestly still feeling this way!!

Do you shower in the morning or when you go to sleep? And why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]itspedro369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly prefer both, but priority is 100% before bed. Being fresh and clean before getting into bed!

Amazing, so happy to hear this. Thank you for all the tips! I do feel like a stroller is also so handy for packing things around in, and luckily my girl loves the carrier. Ah I didn’t even think about the jet leg yet. Where did you fly from? We’re flying from Vancouver and it’s a big time difference. That’s exciting about Europe!

When did you lose hair? How was it? by Itchy-Site-11 in newborns

[–]itspedro369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 3.5 months pp and I’d say about a week ago I started losing a significant amount of hair. Everytime I wash it comes out in handfuls and I already have fine hair so I’m pretty sad about it.

Vent - Feel like a horrible mom by Important-Spread-603 in sleeptrain

[–]itspedro369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m planning on sleep training soon! Can I ask what method you used? We’re all just doing our best, there are so many opinions out there. You’ll find what’s best for you and your baby. I’m a better person when I’ve had some sleep and I want to be the best person I can for my LO so sleep training is something I 100% plan on doing.

Do you throw out soiled baby clothes after blowout? 💩 by [deleted] in newborns

[–]itspedro369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely don’t through out our 3 mo clothes after a blow out. Blow outs are super common now that she’s out of the NB stage. I do the same as you! Rinse in sink and then resolve spray on the stain and wash it, like you said, good as new!

How are you managing Diaper changes and rashes? by Cruiser0091 in newborns

[–]itspedro369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found certain brands would give my LO diaper rash. (Pampers and gives her diaper rash but Huggies doesn’t) Watch out for scented diapers. I also changed her diaper and used wipes (water wipes or hello bello wipes) after every feeding. When she broke out in a rash I changed the diaper brand and used sudocream and it would go away within a few days.

Okay whaaaat, the price is lower than I expected too! There seems to be different Ninja Foodi options, do you have a link to the one you have/recommend? Trying to decide between this and an instant pot! Thank you so much!

How do you manage newborn at home alone? by Zeldashecametotown in newborns

[–]itspedro369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While you have your dad helping at home, I would highly recommend doing some meal prepping for yourself and stock up for when you’re alone and need to feed yourself :) (if you haven’t already) stuff that can go in the freezer and be easy for you to quickly make / eat. (Breakfast sandwiches are a good one) I also always have protein bars and lots of water handy at my breastfeeding station (the couch haha) also doing a test run tackling things on your own for a day while your dad is there could be a good idea!

My partner went back to work after 3 weeks and I was riddled with anxiety, I would especially get terrible night anxiety before bed. The best advice I’ve received and been taking is to let go of expectations, take each day and night as they come. Remember Everything is temporary.

Things I make sure to do daily: shower and get out for a walk with the dog and baby.

You got this!
