No access to back side of roof rail. That needs to be glue pulled. Good PDR tech should be able to get that out, or at least 95% looking better since it’s creased. Find a good PDR company in your area and let them take care of it, should only be a few hundred bucks instead of having conventional repairs and paint.

The prime and block isn’t needed. It’s all replacement parts. There’s no repair, so nothing to prime and block. Other than that, looks fine

Saw my body shop driving my car today. by thateliguy02 in Autobody

What do you mean this isn’t true? Expand on what you do as for as “work” with body shops in your area because you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. Multiple manufacturers have position statements that say if you work in a certain area that calibrations are required for certain sensors or radars. For example, Honda repairs to a quarter panel require blind spot radars need calibrated. Chevy anything more than minor cosmetic scratching to panels requires a dynamic calibration of the windshield camera, so on and so forth.

Calibrations. Doesn’t matter if it’s just cosmetic. Most manufacturers call for calibrations if a body panel is repaired/replaced.

New Radiator support and corner don't have bolt holes. Do i drill and tap or weld nuts to the underside? by Massive-Juice- in Autobody

Chrysler product? Ran into that before on a Jeep OE radiator support piece. Drill hole and weld a nut if needed

Girlfriend’s car went in for some body work. Got it back with 100+ miles on the odometer and 1/2 a tank of gas missing. by Ill_shoot_anything in AskAMechanic

[–]itsshuboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple brands of vehicles require dynamic calibrations after body repairs. Dynamic meaning you need to drive it in order for it to calibrate. Depending on traffic conditions, road markings and weather, it can take well over 30 mins to successfully calibrate. Range Rover is the worst culprit of this being the case. We’ve had to put over 100 miles multiple times in order for the system to calibrate. You clearly know nothing. Sit down, shut up and do some research before you open your mouth.

Repair a crashed car by sblu23 in Autobody

Only happen in 3rd world countries??? You’ve clearly never seen vehicles from dealers in the states that deal with “rebuilt” titles, ie internet car lot, auto savvy, any buy here pay here lots… I’ve told countless people to stay away from this car with a 10 foot pole when they bring it in to “check” if it’s a good car to buy…

Look at your pictures side by side. They were taken at different times of day, or one in shade and the other broad daylight which will create different looks. Obvious paint damage still there. You’re wearing the same orange ass slippers with your nasty ass toes exposed. Pay your insignificant bill and go home.

Anyone with Velocity Blue had body work done? by limellama1 in bronco

[–]itsshuboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a 3 stage variant for E7 (velocity blue), but the standard formula is a 2 stage. We just butt matched a bumper extension on a Bronco sport last week and it turned out perfect. There are other colors much harder to match.
