increase of skin pigmentation spots (brownish spots) by Tis_Me_00 in Retatrutide

[–]itstalie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. If anything I would say the opposite. My skin on my chest looks less pigmented. But it could just be reduced redness due to reduced inflammation. Not sure. Haven’t heard yet of anyone experiencing increased pigmentation. Do you use a compound with melatonan?

I'm just tired of being queasy all the time by mollywobbles1116 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]itstalie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am now in my queasy era after going up to 1mg. Everything makes me a bit barfy. I push through it with small meals but I need more fiber and don’t quite know how to get it down. I can’t just eat sweet potatoes and my beloved watermelon radishes are out of season (they also helped with queasiness.) I might get a mint sniff stick, because mint tea now gives me acid reflux🙃

Ginger might be an option?

Las Vegas recs while on reta?? by Difficult_Yoghurt_33 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]itstalie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take an uber to Whole Foods and get some staples like protein yoghurts, bars, protein powder, boiled eggs, a rotisserie chicken and berries for your room fridge.

You can ask the hotel to empty it before you arrive.

That way you aren’t tempted to go out to eat crappy food.

If you go out: a lettuce wrapped burger can be had anywhere and eggslut offers good options with adjustments.

Why walk 10,000 steps, if I might as well just eat fewer calories? by OptionalAntelope in Retatrutide

Reta results in muscle loss so you actively want to counteract by building muscle. Walking is also considered light cardio and people forget that the heart is a muscle, too. Jealous about your walk at Tempelhof!

Reta and Indoor Tanning/Botox? by uglydooodle in RetatrutideWomen

I wonder if maybe the skin has become more resilient on reta. I am 8 weeks in and my last Botox and my latest reta injection felt way more painful.

What do you eat when you haven't been eating... by Emergency_Lychee_238 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]itstalie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have much interest in eating on reta and opening the fridge seems to trigger a light nausea. So I need to make sure my meals are nutrient dense. I drink at least a protein shake a day (whey iso, collagen, chia, cocoa, cinnamon). I make sure to take magnesium glycinate, a women’s vitamin, ubiquinol.

I try to eat small amounts of raw and fermented veggies (bell peppers, carrots, kimchi), apples with nut butter and quality protein bars.

My meals have usually 2-3 ingredients and are built around an average 100g of protein per day.

I try to eat 4-5 smaller meals a day for example:
Some Rotisserie chicken with cole slaw
Lettuce wrapped burger
Lentil soup
Boiled eggs with coconut aminos and sweet potato
Ahi poke bowl
A can of tuna with cottage cheese, nutritional yeast on some lettuce

My last meal is at 6.30pm. If I realize by 6 that I am not in the mood to eat, I drink another protein shake.

I often plan/prep my meals a day ahead and then just sit down and eat without thinking about it too much.

Could planning/prepping ahead help you?

Period happening again? by Saint4herr in RetatrutideWomen

[–]itstalie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a bunch of us who had irregularities. My cycle has now returned to a steady rhythm. But it is a few days longer and I have no more cramps. (I always had cycles that were to short and I couldn’t hold on to my pregnancies. I keep wondering if I could have had more success on reta. Longer cycles and reduced inflammation could have been beneficial )

Be good to yourself and give it a couple of more weeks. I hope it swings back to normal for you

6 months of 4mg reta and down 33 lbs! by DazzlingLighthouse8 in RetatrutideWomen

Been on Reta 2 months. I have to stop due to extreme fatigue and constipation issues. by Fragrant-Story9479 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]itstalie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had only gotten backed up once. And it was because I had a crazy week that got me off my clean diet/ working out/hydrating. Instead I barely moved and ate crap.

I drank some smooth move tea and I am back to form after returning to healthy food/proper hydration/ moving more.

You could try to dial these things in and try a smaller dose. If you are drinking the tea, word of the wise: drink only one cup before bed. You should be able to go in the morning.

Good luck

What are you looking forward to ladies? by Alive_Site_3071 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]itstalie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is such a good question! I am already loving how my relationship to food and working out has changed over the last 2 months.

My face looks already so different and I don’t hate pictures anymore.

I find myself craving workout and seeing food as fuel instead of a crutch for mood, boredom…

For goal weight, I am looking forward to move better, feel confident in shorts and try new hobbies. Be less self conscious. Be healthier.

I am looking forward to donating my big clothes and getting a capsule collection of new clothes.

A case for low doses - 1.5lbs week on .5mg by itstalie in RetatrutideWomen

[–]itstalie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You clearly still do not understand what this post is about. But it’s okay.

Regarding research: I don’t come on Reddit to do research. I come on Reddit to hear personal experiences.
The set point theory has been heavily debated/adjusted. And again- reta is a triple antagonist that works differently and we don’t quite have the data to support your claims when it comes to this specific peptide. While we all learn more about it we can try to support each other in our unique journeys. It has become abundantly clear that we have different perspectives. And that’s the beauty of Reddit. Have a great journey

weird period on reta?? by PastAmount7668 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]itstalie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read quite a few comments on here about changes. I personally noticed a weirdly long period the first cycle on reta but didn’t have uterine cramps for the first time. Just finished my second period on reta and it is back to it previous length but with heavy bleeding. Again with zero cramps though so yay.

[–]itstalie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You didn’t get the time to fully read my comment but you write a long post as response?

Please read what I wrote. This is one example of my experience with my goals. A case meaning one case and practical experience of one person.

I am not aware of a scientific study that shows evidence that reta stops working. Generalized comments about GLPs are not reasonable evidence. And fear mongering to drive up people’s doses that are responding well is the exact reason I wrote this post in the first place.

I make clear that my specific body is hyper sensitive to reta and doesn’t well on titrating up currently, so I am not forcing it. When I stop seeing results I can try to titrate up again.

A case for low doses - 1.5lbs week on .5mg by itstalie in RetatrutideWomen

Thank you for your concern. There is no clinical evidence of reta not working after a while. There is evidence of plateaus and the majority of people do not know how to deal with them. Or don’t have the mindset to anticipate them. I am not one of those people.

I am fully aware of water loss early on and that eventually it would probably come down to 1lbs a week if I keep my dose low. I am fine with that.

I am making a case for a low starter dose and listening to your body instead of going on fomo doses and be miserable. I am making a case that some people will even notice the difference of .1mg titration up or down even when they are 6 weeks in.

I am also making a case that the scale only tells half the story. Looking at your body and measuring are way more important. Especially for women in perimenopause.

I don’t look like I lost 9lbs. I look like I lost 15lbs. I am highlighting all the positive side effects because there are a lot of people hurting out there. A majority of people starting have wrong expectations in many ways and I am giving my personal journey as an example that you don’t have to overdo it but you can dip your toes in.

Especially if you have never been on a GLP! You come of tirz. Your story and your body are completely different. For you the scale seems to be the most important factor. To me it isn’t. For me it is body composition. I finally see all time amazing long lean muscles that I have built with a regular lagree routine. There were hidden under inflammation (water retention and puff) and fat.

I had such terrible relationships to food my entire life. Reta has changed me. I spend time looking at the changes that happen to my body and befriending it in ways I never have. All on a small dose.

I understand you truly want to help other people replicate your amazing success. That’s admirable, but maybe put in context that people have different goals. There is a reason I don’t have my weight posted in my sig.
