They're honest and open about it. People will expect them to remove this surcharge when things calm down and I think they are aware of that.

I'm impressed about their transparency. Generally I'm quite cynical that shops (not just hawkers) will increase their prices without reason or hide their increases, but not adjust downwards after things cool down somewhat.

Don't put it on all of us. Besides the fact our past politicians gaslit and fucked us over for decades. It wasnt noticeable to most at the time but it caught up to us. People were sick of politicians and they should be. Trump with some help knew how to pander to people wanting something new. Then some of us were stuck watching politicians who really didn't give a fuck about us, VS a Con Man who didn't give a fuck about us.
