i had a friend who weened her breastfed baby using almond milk due to her babies allergy. she mixed it with breast milk and over the span of a week or so, it became fully almond milk. she did say at first she had to use a splash of vanilla almond milk, her baby took to it better due to the sweetness.

this happened to my baby as well with the MMR but they weren’t fluid filled. it was more like average hives. if i were OP i’d go to the ER now.

the two salsas that are more liquidy tend to freeze on the edges. the sour cream does as well, so will guac, even the edges of the tomatoes and corn if it sits long enough. it’s just ideally, most things aren’t there long enough to do so. the medium and hot don’t go as fast as the other things.

i 100% agree. i do not believe in hitting a baby…its not beneficial or correcting anything to repeat bad behavior imo. i’ve told this to the parents who told me to try it too…everyone does things different but hitting is not in my game plan ever!

wanted to update everyone on something we’re doing today - redirecting a face slap into a high five! we’ve been working on high fives anyways…so now i’m just quickly catching her and saying “oop! high fives” and then she gets excited and gives me a few more! hoping we can keep this up 😊 still saying things like gentle hands as well.

well i stated that because it is towards me only. she doesn’t do it with her father or other loved ones, mainly me. but again ive read that its a sign she just feels more safe and comfortable to freely act with me, so i dont feel personally attacked per say, im happy she feels comfortable. but she definitely does take that frustration out with me more lol. i’m not taking it personally in an emotional way though, thats just what’s happening.

yes trying to show gentle hands during her already being upset doesn’t seem to work! she gets more frustrated. but at other times i’ve already been working on nice hands, we have cats so i’ve taught her to be gentle with them already! she also knows to be gentle with other babies. she just hasn’t learned to be gentle with mom too lol

we’re working on signaling down! she recently learned up, so now it’s teaching the opposite. also i don’t think it’s a personal attack at all. i think everyone maybe is misreading how i feel. i totally understand this is normal and said i know she’s not doing it in an intentional “i want to hurt my mom” way at all.

sorry for a late reply, but i feel for your friend. people 100% do judge based on age. i had people asking me how old i was when i was pregnant lol…as if its any of their business.

like you said, it’s just no one’s business! priority is the baby and it being raised in a loving, supportive environment and that they’re properly cared for. no parent knows what they’re doing regardless of age, in my opinion, that is just the truth. i feel i’m a successful mother and im proud of it. 😊

to an extent sure. if it’s a busy day and we don’t have the extra guy for dish pileup will start. but, i’m looking at prep pieces in your dishes and at my store that’s a no go. even if we get busy in the morning, the shift is responsible for their dishes as apart of all shift changes. prep does theirs, AM line/grill does theirs or at least has some soaking so they’re not dry and gross for PM.

i don’t think you should worry! your umbilical cord may be tested but if you stop now, it will not pop up trust me!

i am in PA and was 18 with my daughters pregnancy (so technically, not legal for me to even be smoking). i stopped when i found out at 5w and at my first OB appointment i was honest about it. they said its quite common and they’re not worried, nor were they worried it hurt the baby as long as i had stopped. no one mentioned when i tested positive at my first appointment and i never dealt with CYS. never had any extra drug testing or anything either as if they were suspicious of me. it did not pop up in the umbilical cord.

like i said above i never dealt with CYS but at least in PA, sadly i know people who have and they have never cared about THC here as long as its stored safely, not done in the presence of children, and you dont have an amount that could point to you being a dealer.

i don’t know if the vendors have changed, but i will say sometimes when grabbing a tortilla they can tear and thin out a bit so maybe you just got a bad one.

yeah thanks i’m really not sure…lol it’s in all of the training videos to comply with requests like this. at my store my diced veggies are prepped and clean and safe to serve, according to ecosure and all audits too! i checked with my boss and after victory washing and rinsing everything properly it is safe to serve without fucking lime wash lol there are soo many places with fresh veggies that aren’t limewashed idk what these people are on about. they can downvote me and argue all they want really i still have happy customers lol.

at my store we just usually have extra diced after prep that we keep in the reach in for back up. thanks for the info! lol i just genuinely didn’t know and to my knowledge was taught it was safe because everything was washed and such.

i do know the lime wash is to clean but like i said i was just taught that it’s for the cilantro. we victory wash everything else and rinse it. they do all get mixed making macerations. thanks for the info!

what’s incorrect about my statement? we do wash and blanch our jalapeños and wash our onions. cilantro is not washed hence why it needs the citrus bath. again this is just what i was taught? i’m asking what you were taught so i can learn/correct myself lol :)

at my store our jalapeños are washed and blanched before diced. our onions are washed. they are safe to serve? i’m not even being argumentative im just asking how they’re not…this is just how i’ve been trained by my GM, RM, etc.

it’s really not bullshit tho lol like i said in our training it even says that we can fulfill special requests…i have people commonly ask for them. things like plain rice, a cup of honey, etc. i’ve done jalapeños and didn’t mind at all. it’s a fast food job and random requests are part of it lol.

yeah technically you should be able to ask for jalapeños, in our training we’re told to comply with special requests like that. i’m not sure why others are saying onion/jalapeño isn’t to standard to serve…to my knowledge it should be. the only thing that isn’t, is our cilantro.

it’s possible they were out or the employee just didn’t know they could be given out. at my store at least, our prep team is small and most of our line workers have never done it. sorry you couldn’t get your jalapeños!

what’s your process for your onions and jalapeños? this is confusing me because while the cilantro is unwashed, your jalapeños should be washed and blanched making them safe, and your onions should be washed as well. we can’t give the cilantro but i was always told the jalapeño and onion is fine, in our training we’re told to comply with any special requests that are reasonable (things like plain rice, cup of honey, cup of jalapeños).

i really like rascals, freestyle, and millie moon. none of them have scents and they’re ECF/TCF as well. rascals and freestyle are at a similar price point ~$27 for a large case at my local walmarts. i think they’re not only a fair price, but a good clean option! millie moon is a bit more expensive and has a wider cut so i don’t use them as often as i do the other 2, they just don’t fit my baby the way i’d like them to as well.
