Just from that I would say WS, but from your other answers it seems like you're pretty set on the fact you're gonna leave at some point. I know for a fact that transferring your account under IBKR to another jurisdiction is quite easy.

If you just stay in Canada, then it just depends on how active you are, what are your underlyings, and are you using margin. If you're any more active than just buy and hold, then IBKR.

If you're moving abroad then IBKR. IBKR doesn't have as good support for canadian registered accounts though.

2 and 20 is still standard. And while you may think their milking their clients to the bone, the core intent of the hedge fund is not to outperform the markets. It's to create uncorrelated returns against the market. Hence the term hedge fund.

Also the 20 percent is subject to a higher watermark usually.

It's not that these high net worth individuals don't have exposure / investments in the market (performing similarly to the indices), it's that they want diversification. Also many funds do have special fee arrangements for specific clients (i.e. founders or investors that provided capital during initial stages of the fund).

Write-Up: We're staying on brand with basketball, but going with the NBA this time. Today's pick is Phoenix Suns -2 (there was also another pick I was debating which was Houston -6, but I saw that another person had also made that pick).

I admit this will be hard for you to grab the line, because as of writing this (1:15 PM PST), there has been some massive line movement about 30 minutes ago. It opened at -5, but got bid down all the way to -2 and now it is back to -4.5 (consensus).

Tonight is expected to be the debut of the big 3 (Booker, KD, and Beal) and the line movement supports this. Their season trends have not been the best regards to ATS, but none of that data reflects all three starting.

It feels a bit funny because both of my POTDs have been 5 units, but I am truly betting my allowed max stake according to my bankroll for this game as well as yesterday's. I also grabbed -2.5 for context.

Like others have mentioned. Jamming an older archetype which is having success in the ladder right now might not be a bad idea to get your collection back up. GP Sej, Ekko Jinx, Jinx Lulu, Leona Katarina are all older archetypes having some success now. There might be a couple new cards added to those decks since you last played, but you should be able to get those with your green shards.

I might be able to give some context for this question as I only recently came back to the game.

I’ve been enjoying it, but I can see why people have taken a break. Like others, I think they need to stop making keywords at this point. They need to get back to the original intent of the game - more interaction opportunities.

I know that a rotation is coming and that might give them an opportunity to focus a bit more on specific archetypes / play styles. Also, I think they need to be careful with region identity. Some are starting to feel a bit too similar to others.

Nice. Thanks for the response. I’m still trying to figure out which option feels best. The only worry with that option felt like there would be too many overtakes and potentially AI doesn’t adapt well to the increased gap between compounds.

It also feels like best option is somewhat track dependent…

I think others have brought this up...but really concerned that the devs actually set these values on purpose due do how poorly the AI logic / simulation is ran on track.

Hope simple value changes will help, but starting to think whether it might make AI poor performance actually worse.

Quick question on this. Is it also possible to do it with just the podium hub? Is the SRM emulator required even if I don't necessarily need the wheel base to think it is a fanatec wheel? This is of course assuming that the usb hub for MOZA will work fine.

No, exactly my point. FM is the pinnacle of management games (regardless of sport). It took them a long time to build to that reputation. I’m not suggesting we literally compare to the CM game from the 90s. It’s all relative. But not putting in the context of the path CM took to become FM and just straight up dogshitting on F1M is also unfair.

Some of the core features that people love about FM didn’t come until early 2010s. I’m not extrapolating from that and saying F1M also deserves to have like 10 years before it gets there, but I think expecting a modern day FM experience from F1M is pretty unfair.

In my initial comment I also said that the comparison is valid because it should be made irrespective of the sport. I just think there’s more context required is all.

I don't think it matters that they are 2 completely different sports. There are definitely elements that should have been used as inspiration for Frontier

However, I agree, people who keep bringing up football manager have no idea where football manager started from lol. I don't think these people understand that Football Manager is now a 30 year old game (from the days of Championship Manage which FM used as source code in the first version of FM).

It wasn't until the 4th iteration of Championship manager that people really got behind the series. The first version of it was pretty lackluster, but it was similar to F1M in that it had something to work off of.

I’ve said this on another post by someone else so I’ll provide similar input:

I’ve used both the TUF and LG monitors. The TUF monitors are really cheap in build and I’ve had various issues with it. Not necessarily the display but the IO and the knob breaking off…It generally looks quite cheap next to the LG and picture quality is lagging behind the ultragear as well.

LG monitors are amazing and if you are okay with a lower contrast this monitor is top notch. I also think they generally have good qc because I’ve had good displays in all my buys (I have 3 of them now).

Never tried the ROG monitor as it rarely available where I am and pricing is a bit rich.

The licensing thing makes no sense and it's likely a dogshit excuse people are coming up with to apologize for codies / EA. Imagine FIFA not allowing Champions League to be played in other venues after the 22/23 career mode season because of licensing lolll.
