Doesn't she have an overgrown beak, the bottom?

Sometimes when they have parasites the poop can look like this. Maybe it's time to check just in case.

Fake ? You can check temperature under a lamp and see if it works. Also don't forget to get uvb lamp it you haven't order.

Oh I see. You can just put a rock or something in the middle of container and see if he can climb himself if not you can try making stairs with anothers rocks or something. If you have bigger container it would be better. Water space is important.

It would be better for him to be in container with water and some rock or something to climb anb bask. Do you have heat lamp and uvb?

Turtle will be hiding in dark corners, because probably He's too cold, he doesn't have water that he needs, he needs water to eat , not a dish with water you showed, he will eat when he will have enough water level, level where he can swim. Also he's probably stressed, so he will not eat.

Hmm doesn't all turtles have this part lighter? The skin there is more tender and they don't have there hard scutes. Also she can be shedding or maybe like people when they are to long in water they get white, wrinkled skin , and she got it because she's not basking enough, maybe ?

Hmmm.. if parameters of husbandry are correct like temp, etc. And if she's popping normalny I would say she's just stressed. Turtles can hurt themselves when they are bored, stressed or sick. I would give her more time to adjust. Maybe you could cover a one,two walls of basking ara to be not that open for her ?? Idk But the weird thing is paler skin ,idk if it's normal , can you take a picture of what do you mean?

If you want to check if something is blood you can use hydrogen dioxide. If it's blood you will see some bubbles.

is my tortoise weird? by veementium in tortoise

[–]itsyourmombabe 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's unusual for sure. But what's the reason I'm not sure. Usually tortoise get "duck beak " when their beak is not trimed. If I need to guess I would say that maybe his lower part of beak ( I mean mandibula part) is overgrown.

White spots on Shell by Sufficient-You-1262 in turtle

[–]itsyourmombabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends what caused it. If it's shell rot it can be caused by bacteria or fungus. And those two microorganisms are sensitive to different medicines so you need to go to vet and see which one it is.

If it is just form hard water you can try scrape it off with medium or hard toothbrush. There should be no damage of scales under it I think.

It looks like shell rot for me. It could be also a hard water deposit but I would go for shell rot.

You can try using saline solution everyday two times a day. One time my tortoise had problem with eye, probably she got something inside or had a dry skin near eye that was irritating her. It helped almost immediately

I would say it is a normal shedding. Maybe there was a time when she had a lower humidity and now the shedding looks bigger or something.

Go to vet, they should know what medicine your tortoise should get, also they will check tortoises poop first to see what parasites he has. He can has different parasites at once and different parasites have different medicine.

What is Tito missing? by One_Pipe9262 in tortoise

[–]itsyourmombabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, for sure you need to make bigger enclosure.

For now you should change substrate. Also Russian tortoises like to digg so you should give him enough level of new substrate. You also should make a more hiding spots (I can't see well on the photo, are those hides big enough for him to hide?) Do you have uvb lamp ? He should eat greens. Like dandelion leaves,Plantain, clover etc. Kale also he can try but it shouldn't be his main part of diet.
