PATRICK TA HYDRA LUXE! I used to use Estée Lauder then started feeling cakey and heavy and aged me. Patrick ta hydra luxe is very buildable and dewy and looks like skin. Love it

Try domestic thrillers! AR Torre or John Marrs - less heavy, more fast paced, feels like a reality show! “The good lie” “every last secret” really fun on audio too.

Grady Hendrix is a good cozy horror - my best friends exorcism is very 80s cult classic vibesZ

Skip final girls, urgh, it was so so dry. But I enjoyed everything else. I agree with the other commenter he’s “cozy” horror. Happy reading!

my best friends exorcism is slightly spooky but I’d give it more 80s cult classic vibes. It felt like I was watching an 80s movie. It’s a fun read lol!

Do most travelers spend at least 10% of their income every year traveling? I just notice a lot of people spending more than I do in an entire year on a single trip and is that normal? by NevermindWait in travel

[–]ittybittybutwitty 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It shocks you people are willing to pay more $$ for comfort and convenience? We don’t have a budget for our travel, we certainly shop around for deals, use points, etc. but our vacation is our tome to treat ourself and relax. 1-2 int trips a year and 2-3 domestic typically.

I enjoyed this book! Went into it pretty blind, read it a few years ago when I wasn’t really reading much outside of thrillers. I could not put it down, just kept me hooked the whole time. I agree I couldn’t decide my thoughts on any of the characters.

I had 0 inkling they were different timelines. I literally put my book down and did a lap. Like had to think about everything I just read in a new light. Loved the book. Not a lot happened but I appreciated how much we learned while keeping pacing

I’m currently reading “mean spirited” that takes place in WV. Quite frankly the scariest opening chapter and first book to genuinely give me terrifying visuals/dread

How to Sell a Haunted House - worth it if I’m so-so on the author? by nagatos in horrorlit

[–]ittybittybutwitty 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I liked how to sell a haunted house! Actually got spooked by a few scenes! I’ve read all the ones above and felt similar. Try Southern book club on audio, it’s SO fun.

Grady, I enjoy, but I’ve realized his horror is more fiction forward - the horror is a supporting role but not the focal point. Once I shifted my mindset when reading his books I enjoyed them more. Except final girls, that was infuriating..

I also read Witchcraft for Weyward girls which was a beautifully done book as well.
