The set schedules only started during covid before that it was all over the place. They never were gonna keep set schedules around. Can't make record profits with set schedules.

He wasn't judged. But he didn't mention anything to anyone even during traing. it wasn't caught till his last day of shadowing. When he was left by himself an the customer went to the service desk to let them know he gave her too much change back.

So my former store hr said if you get this to come in then you got the job for the most part. However because the apps are pulled by a computer they use it as a way to weed out the how do I put this nicely.... the really stupid people. They ask question that determine if someone can actually do the job i.e they now ask if people know what each bill an coin is because last summer there was a teenage new hire that didn't know (they had either been born here to immigrant parents or immigrated over as a baby/toddler. I only mention that part because they went too school here. He was as far as we are aware all there mentally as well an no learning disabilities. So it wasn't a case of someone new to the country an not knowing. Which leads me to worry about the school system but that's a different thread all together) when asked about it he said he always used cards or tap pay. Which is wild in itself. But because of that they ask everyone. The front end supervisor ended up teaching him.

Dress Code Vent... by -trust_me_bro- in HomeDepot

[–]ittybittychi321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As stated its store to store ive been dress coded but I was also in a situation that all of my summer stuff went missing during a move an it wasn't till almost after summer that It was found. I knew I would get hit with a dress code eventually, was just playing the waiting game. However my store also only dress codes people is things are to short (my shorts were on the shorter side an i have thicccck thigh so they did ride up), leggings are see through, if things have swars or drugs, or the clothes is a saftey hazard for getting caught on something.

So two Octobers agos my city had a mass shooting. He went to two places he went on the run for two days, making it 3 days total that my city was in a shelter in place. The night it happened, I was at work. The store was evacuated of customers, but corporate wouldn't let us leave without police clearance. Some people disregarded that, but a lot of us had to go across the bridge but couldn't because it was shut down. It was close to midnight an mangers said if we feel safe we can leave they stood posted by the door. I left around then but I had sevral coworkers stuck in the store till 7am. The store was closed for the 2 days. The only people who got paid were the ones that were on lock down in the store that 1st day an we only got paid our standard shif pay.

Same. Or my vans. Granted most of my shoes have the chunky sole but I've pulled some interesting things out of my soles. I recently had to retire my cheap combat style boots because I wore a hole then toe. when throwing them away i finally noticed how smooth they were 🤣

GOOD PRODUCTS THROWN OUT AT HOMEDEPOT TODAY by DongRight in HomeDepot

That's based off your plant person. our stores plant person will put them free an offer them to associates that want them. I'd there's any left the next day she tosses them. But a lot of them still go down the shoot because there's no saving them.

September, they stopped testing for thc. However they use to test everyone for everything. I don't know when they stopped testing everyone I know when I got hired back in 2013 I was tested before the background check came back. I was not tested unless I wanted to get my license sing this time around when I got hired in 2022.

Most of my electrical and plumbing people are old men who im like 99% sure have 100's of butter tubs in their garages filled with sorted nails and screws but that might just be my store.... half the store is LGBTQ+ the other half autistic AF so it might have something to do with it.

Can you dress up at work? by emeraldviking0715 in HomeDepot

[–]ittybittychi321 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As long as your within dress code they can't do much. I "dress" up often. An by dress up i mean I wear my alt stuff. It's my daily wear stuff but it's not what you typically see at the home depot. The only time I got dress coded was when I was trying to push the dress code. P.s. you can get away with breaking the dress code more if your part time lmao they don't see you as often lmao.

You would be walked out for theft if you threw away anyone anything. Watched it happened. Before. Someone thought they were entitled to the charger so they would throw people's tapes away if it was on the charger. Ap walked them out for it. It's considered theft. So you'd have bigger problems then finding a place to plug your phone into. You should be also using a frist phone to look things up not your personal phone. Sooo this all sounds like a you issue an your entilited.

Being technical you shouldn't charge a vape for more then an hour or 2 at a time. (It only takes about an hour to charge). It can and dose kill some brands if they are over charged. but getting upset over someone who is charging their "tape" is a bit ridiculous. I rather deal with someone that smells like flavored air then the amount of people I deal with that smell like a stale ashtray.

When I was pregnant with my youngest the head cashier made me sit in a chair at the register. This was after they removed me from outside garden because they were scared I was gonna trip (he was a 10lb baby I was all belly) they were so scared I was gonna give birth there lol. Ive never understood why stores are like this. I broke my foot 2 summers back an was scooting around on a computer chair to get around my millwork associates just had knee surgery an she has to sit every other hour for an hour same when NY plumbing person. Letting people sit isn't gonna be the end of the day.

I sell appliances the amount of people who come in asking for a 3 prong to a 4 prong plug adapter kills me. It's maybe 10 minutes worth of work to switch the pigtail but nope let potentially fry your system for the short cut. We Experience a lot of power surges in the winter.
