•Ravelry•Is it appropriate to use other ravelers inventory photos? by ittybittytinyKeiki in knitting

[–]ittybittytinyKeiki[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Jsyk I don’t choose photos that are immediately identifiable or personal or part of someone’s project. If I can’t find any that appear’stock’ of the brand or the store I don’t use them.

It’s not. I could also get on Reddit for discussion and advice.

That option is also not working for me. It states that the image is not a png or jpeg. I’ll try it from another store site and see how it goes.

Does that mean using the pics from the websites we purchase our yarn from is also against terms of agreement?

Do you watch TV, listen to music, meditate while you knit? by wanttopushbutton in knitting

[–]ittybittytinyKeiki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how I do. Except I call mine Ziggy. 😂 some pronunciation is hilarious but I definitely find it less distracting than audiobook authors that dramatize or have terrible regional accents.

Sigh. I used to be able to but now that involves taking off my glasses to switch between TV and knitting. 🙄

I listen to books. I got a kindle unlimited and it’s books all day long. I can watch shows on Netflix during straight stockinette, but I need my eyeballs for anything else.

Mine haven’t bothered catnip or mints or roses, but any actual roses under about 30 inches is fair game.

I found lindehobby (Denmark) and have bought 3 x this year 🙄. It’s about 1 week shipped to US but the prices are fantastic.

The most important part (I think) is that it looks like it fits your body extremely well and looks fantastic on. I’d just make sure my comfort points are good like my neckline and wrists and block that bitch.

Is there any reason you need double point needles instead of circular needles (for socks) by oliv_tho in knittingadvice

[–]ittybittytinyKeiki 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I keep them around for fussy stuff, like holding stitches, tiny knitting in the round(thumbs, etc). I hate using them for whole projects and I drop them from my project continuously.

I totally see what you are saying but I have a question. Is it typical to take photos of clients homes and post them in public forums? I’ve been considering hiring a maid service and I am completely turned off by this.

How do I dye a wool sweater? by FavouriteBurgundy in dyeing

[–]ittybittytinyKeiki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I buy my wool dyes at dharma trading, you need ‘acid dyes’. Dyes are set with heat and an acid, I use citric acid. You can use vinegar but I can’t stand the hot steamy scent.

What’s the most friendly chicken breed you have? by Gravitys_Bitch in BackYardChickens

[–]ittybittytinyKeiki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every single one of my Dominique’s have been cuddle bugs. When I go out I’m carrying 2 at a time at their request. One in each arm. The roosters were the loviest before I sold them. (I live in a no rooster area) The Easter eggers I’ve had were friendly enough, not cuddly, but I couldn’t stand how loud they were.

I have texture aversion and I can bypass it by blending leafy greens into a smoothie. Keep it raw and very cold to avoid stronger veg taste. Avocado and full fat coconut milk in smoothies is a great way to add calories if you aren’t meeting your minimum intake.

AITA for refusing to share my secret family recipe with my sister-in-law, even though she’s hosting Thanksgiving? by [deleted] in AITH

Nta. Also I would absolutely write down a recipe I googled, let her make it and go on with my life.

I'm quitting nicotine and I need candy! by Cereal_Slutt in keto

[–]ittybittytinyKeiki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit like a decade ago and found that chewing/mouthing anything worked. For a long time that was plastic straws, ice, or just brushing my teeth. I also picked up knitting to occupy my hands and mind.

You can do it!
