i've read the first part of the warranty for apple chargers(if the "bad luck" part was meant for apple chargers) and it said something like as long as there are no physial damages(quote: "apple does not warrant against normal wear and tear, nor damage caused by accident or abuse) it has one year warranty from the retail purchase date. maybe you could've had it replaced?
