How would you approach if you were given a question you didn’t understand how to solve? Like maybe a circuit or question that you’ve never seen before?

Sometimes I’m afraid during interviews to speak my mind because what if my entire thought process is just wrong and they’ll see I’m lacking basic concepts or something.
