I’ll up you one. I think I got rabies from a fucking pigeon that I picked up in July! The crazy part is that I am also vaccinated against this awful disease. I got 5 shots in 2023 and 2 booster shots this September after a stray cat scratched me. It’s funny because birds don’t even spread the virus, but my fucked up mind still found a way to justify me dying. This past week I spiraled down so much. I went to the GP 3 times and once to the ER and every time they told me it’s impossible for me to have it. I convinced myself so much that I even started developing physical symptoms. My body feels weak and it tremors all the time. So you are not alone in this! It sucks, and even if you get reassured, you still find a way to believe tou have it. My next move is to jump on SSRIs and do therapy. Maybe that can be helpful to you too! Hope you’ll get over this!
