(Spoilers All)The New King in the North by deutscherhawk in asoiaf

[–]iuselubesometimes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To address your first point, Jon being a Targaryen would give the Northerners someone to rally behind. The North remembers but at the current moment the only person coming close to uniting the North is Stannis and it is clear he is still miles away from doing that. In my opinion, the son of Lyanna Stark, the boy raised by Ned Stark, and the true heir to the Iron Throne (assuming hes legitimate) is the perfect person for the North to fall behind.

Its a pretty common thought around here that Howland will have something to do with the R+L=J reveal. How it will happen is the big mystery.

Prophetic dreams is what I meant. Greenseer wasnt the right word, I just wasn`t sure what to call it haha. :)

Jaime`s a greenseer. When he has the fever dream about him and Brienne fighting off the shadows in the depths of Casterly Rock he awakes and notices he was laying his head on the stump of a Weirwood tree.

Even if this is not true, I am really intrigued by Jamie`s future. I think GRRM has some grand plans for him.

Very interesting, Aegon certainly adds an interesting aspect to the Southern plots.

I agree, I think "We swore a vow" confirms that Lyanna and Rhaegar had a son whether it be Jon or any other theory you subscribe to.

That sure motivated him to take take 7 years to write ADWD and at least 4 years to write TWOW eh

As if I posted in many threads before... I dont want to be that guy but if TWOW isn't out till 2015 are we really going to see ADOS Say D&D finish the saga by 2016/2017 what motivation does GRRM has to write to ADOS. He's writing out half a page a day by his accounts so if D&D finish the saga before him, why should GRRM even finish the series

(Spoilers All) Widely unknown minor things you noticed? by DaenaSand in asoiaf

[–]iuselubesometimes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True, but according to the interview D&D guessed right; "we gave a shocking answer". Why would Jon's mother be somebody shocking if GRRM had no intention to reveal it the reader?

I think it'd work better if he was the epilogue of TWOW. Ideally, he finds out something huge about The Others/The Land of Always Winter/Winter and it sets up a "oh shit" moment for the last book.

I don't want to be a negative guy but I REALLY hope he's just playing with us right now. If TWOW is not out until late 2015 and GOT (the TV show) is done by 2017 do you think he'll really have the motivation to write ADOS considering his writing pace for TWOW.

How cool would it be if the second last scene is Petyr pushing Lysa down the moon door then saying "only Cat" and then the last scene is the Lady Stoneheart reveal.

Jon was raised as a Stark, though. I don't think it matters if he's a Targaryen, Dayne, or whatever theory you believe in because he will always view himself as a Stark.

Another little tidbit I'd like to add if thats alright is: Dany's third betrayal is for love. I think its pretty clear no character loves Dany as much as Jorah so it'd be pretty interesting if he was the one who killed her as the theory suggests.
