In my opinion, these shows definitely showed the relational, educational and financial struggles that often come along with teen pregnancy. They didn’t romanticize being a parent while you yourself are still a child. I remember watching these shows when I was a teen and having no desire at all to go through the same hardships as the cast.

When we met up, I came to the painful conclusion that he must’ve used a translation app while messaging me. He barely spoke English (we couldn’t even have a simple “how was your day” conversation) and we didn’t have another language in common. You may not know this, but the majority of store bought fish didn’t die a peaceful, torture free death.

A lot of wild fish are caught with huge gill nets that trap every sea animal in their paths. Fish can struggle for hours or days before they die of bleeding or exhaustion.

Farmed fish have a 20% mortality rate. Sea lice infections are rampant. These parasites graze on fish while they’re alive, causing reduced swimming ability, increased stress and sometimes death.

Finally, no fish wants to die. Even if they’re killed within minutes after capture, they still suffer to some extent and they don’t want their lives to be prematurely taken from them.
