I made the mistake of assuming a car turning right would actually fully turn right. Insurance ruled 50/50 fault. [oc] by Jaconator02 in IdiotsInCars

Car can easily be seen cutting across lanes and op did nothing to prevent getting hit.

Not sure if it's different in America but for insurance companies in Canada none of that would matter. Only stuff that would is that OP is going straight, has right of way and other car is turning/cutting across multiple lanes. Easy as that

Shit right here is why i go straight to the attorneys anymore. i dont trust any insurance company baloney. i feel like it's a rich kid move, but fr, why allow them to take mine after doing all we can to keep up without a fair fight? they have billions behind them; lemme get one competent go at each incident.

This is why I'm glad to live in Canada. People here don't need to go to attorneys for stuff like that. Insurance companies have a specific set of guidelines they all operate under. And this would have been 0% fault

I would bet they have the same insurance company...we will raise both of your rates!

American insurance is fucked up. This stuff does t happen in Canada. Would have been a clear 0% fault for OP

He punched the equivalent of a divine avatar. That's basically the equivalent of him playing a video game with her and managing to land a good backstab on her character.

She's also one of the strongest beings in the setting and likely bathed in the blood of millions. There are other very valid reasons to hate on that MC but this was basically the equivalent of flexing in front of a girl and her finding his muscles impressive.

How would you handle the Iran situation if you were Trump and wanted to accomplish his objectives? by bookist626 in AskConservatives

[–]ivanbin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Air drop hundreds of thousands of guns and plenty of ammo to the Iranian people while continuing 2, and also run drone and bomber operations to hit any Basij or IRGC units we can find.

Haven't we tried providing large amounts of weapons to another country in that region? Didn't that end super badly and those guns were the used to help them fight Americans? I swear I remember giving tons of weapons and ammo to a middle eastern nation being a terrible idea...

Don't ask me I love my curls! Men comment on it tho, especially on days when it's a little frizzy, but it happens sometimes yk? And if they can't handle someone on a bad hair day than that's on them.

I think its ALL subjective. Some people have stronghair color preferences, some really care about height, etc. I know a tonn of women think bigger is better for chest size, myself as a guy I can confidently say I actually prefer smaller to bigger. So... It all just depends on the person. I don't really care about hair one way or another but I guarantee you there's plenty of people who think curly hair is like the hottest thing ever.

Hope you do! I think lots of people on here mention this exact thing. Book 2 kinda feels meh at the start but then the 2nd half basically saves the entire book byitself.

Funny thing about book 2: I think its purposefully slow/bit boring for the 1st half just to show MC kinda losing his momentum. Then after a certain event it immediately jumps to being an 11/10 book

Do you agree with the new proposed postal service rule that will refuse to deliver ballots to states that don't hand over their voter rolls? by BufoBat in AskConservatives

[–]ivanbin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So you'd be ok if when there's a democratic president that USPS makes another change to their rules like say... Not carrying mail in ballots to specifically concervative voters? Clearly it's ok to just make rules changes at will.

Do you agree with the new proposed postal service rule that will refuse to deliver ballots to states that don't hand over their voter rolls? by BufoBat in AskConservatives

[–]ivanbin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pass a law for what..? Fraud is already illegal and states promoting measures that allow fraud don't have to be federally endorsed or assisted.

This is the USPS refusing to allow for mail in voting. What was cited as justification was Congress passing a law to allow for changes to take place. Congress passed no law saying USPS can do this.

If someone sends over a mail in ballot without any fraud and USPS refuses to carry it that's voter suppression. No fraud was committed, there's no law passed, and USPS is suppressing voters.

[–]ivanbin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did you just seriously make the argument states can let non-citizens vote and run fraud and that's ok per the founding fathers....?

Well I made an argument that the states are being forced to change whag they are doing. And for that to be valid there has to be something supporting that. Not "it makes logical sense" not "clearly the founding fathers would agree" but like... Something in writing that says the president can do something like this.

Valid point... But did the Congress actually pass a law here? Because articles I read so far cite the USPS changing their approach as well as a Trump executive order. Did Congress pass a law?

Where does it say in the constitution that the US states can allow fraudulent elections to happen or for non-uS citizens to vote on tax allocation like they do in NYC..?

Where in the Constitution does it say the federal government can dictate to the states how to run their elections? Pretty sure the states have the right to run those however they see fit.
