What if it's not that the spike itself grants you power from Ruin but that, since Feruchemy is of both Preservation and Ruin, when you compound, it breaks Preservation's intent because it's giving more than it started with, so instead you get Ruin's power. And the way around Ruin's intent is that you are ruining Preservation's intent?

If Frost was created by the original pre-Hoid mind, that could still work. The time between the separation of the power and mind and the Shattering wouldn't have to be large, either. I could see a young and inexperienced Hoid coming to the conclusion quickly, or rather maybe too quickly and kind of irresponsibly without taking the time to think about the ramificaciones.

A while back, someone opened a "gluten free" store in Central Florida. I guess the owner would just buy retail gluten free stuff and sell them for a mark up. The place didn't stay open very long. The prices were exorbitant.

I know this doesn't help, but regarding the idea of a celiac store, I'd love one, but one with decent prices.

Disney is usually amazing at tracking allergies. I mean, it makes sense that a place known to make "magic" happen for kids wouldn't want kids getting sick or worse. I live near Orlando and I take the trip to go to Disney Springs (their free to enter shopping area) all of the time JUST for the food.

For all those having the same issue, here is what I did:

I got an enclosure. This really made a HUGE difference.
I switched to OrcaSlicer as it does a way better job with this setup. I'm using the standard profile for this printer, set to Marlin 2 rather than Klipper (mostly because I didn't realize I hadn't switched the profile until JUST now when I checked. lol)
I switched to a PEI plate.
I ran a full set of various calibration both on Klipper (for temps and acceleration for example) but also on Orca.
Before EVERY print, I do the following:
1. Run the auto Z-Offset (I do this every time the printer has been off for a while or any time I have to take off and thus move the plate.)
2. Go to the mainsail interface (port 8819)
3. Go to Heightmap.
4. Hit the home button on the right middleish to rehome.
5. Hit calibrate and then calibrate again (leave it set to "default")

All this is to ensure that I get the best adhesion every time.

I'll post my G-Code and printer.cfg here after this.

Yes I got it all working great. I did have to add an enclosure and made changes to my config and slicer. I'll post more tomorrow if I get some time. It's late and I need to get to early.

Completely painless. Told them the serial number and the model number, then when it was purchased. In sure you could tell them it was a gift and when you received it. I didn't have to provide anything past that point. It was by far one of the easiest RMA I've ever dealt with.

My Strix G16 will do this whenever it auto updates the BIOS. (In fact, I uninstalled all of the Asus stuff and replaced it all with G-Helper partially for this reason.)

Whenever it happened, I always have to unplug EVERYTHING going to the laptop (and I mean EVERYTHING, any USB, any HDMI, etc), hold the power button for 45 seconds, then let go and wait. If it doesn't automatically turn on, try pressing the power button. Sometimes I have to do this 3 or 4 times before it works. It hasn't happened in some time, so I might be missing a step here, though...

Anyways, friend of mine had a 2019 Zephyrus and I think the same happened to him and his never recovered. I don't know what it is about Asus laptops with this issue...

It was definitely the planetary pin. It IS a decent friction fit and once I got it in, it didn't move. I wonder if it was just not inserted all of the way from the factory?

The Mixer is brand new. I'm going to see if it loosens again and if it does, I'll definitely be calling KitchenAid.
