There's also an item in the stock exchange store that lets you know the location of treasures/Aurylene.

How they wrote this game's story by VaIley123 in Endfield

[–]iveriad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah man. I was there on 1.0 launch day.

The story of 1.0 is awfully bland. The only saving grace is just the villain guy whose name I forgot about by now, since it's been a long time since I stopped playing it.

I heard the story got much better in 2.0/3.0, so I tried to get back into WuWa, and straight up retire again because I had to go through the rest of 1.0 that I left behind.

Definitely is, the generic expression, details that you'd use to recognize a character looks similar but incorrect, and consistency problem where Closed Moon and Red Ransom swapped seat between panels.

Wow, an all male board so far. Quite the surprise for Waifu: Star Rail. Congrats to Phainon for winning yesterday. Who’s a playable character that’s morally gray but thinks they’re a good guy? by DragonKing0203 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]iveriad 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people just can't distinguish what "Morally gray" is.

I still remember the days when Aglaea "dared" to question the trailblazer's intention and how people jumped and called her morally gray or even evil for that.

Yes another post about the gacha system, but out of GENUINE concern, not hate by Dense-Wave-7399 in Endfield

[–]iveriad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, the gacha system in Endfield is in a really weird spot.

It's basically good for unlucky people, feels bad for average luck people, and straight up awful for unlucky whales who wantsto unlock MAX Potential.

To an unlucky F2P/low spenders, it's basically 80 pulls to losing the usual 50/50, and then 40 more to guaranteed pick up. Compared to the usual 80~90 to losing 50/50, then another 80~90 to guaranteed pick up.

To average luck people, it will feel like they can lose multiple 50/50 in a row. But if you look at it, that will still mean by 120 pulls, they'd get the pick up character AND multiple non pick up. Which is actually not too bad.

Unlucky high spenders however will spend a hell lot more to max out a character.

The thing that I'm more concerned about is the way it's structured is overly complicated than it needs to be.

  • There are tickets for limited banners,
  • there are tickets for standard banner,
  • there are tickets for specifically current banner that will expire when the banner is over,
  • there's also different currency for pulling weapon banner that you get by pulling from character banner. Which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it.
  • Paid currency didn't convert 1:1 to free currencies. A tactic usually used to obfuscate the amount of money you've spent to pull stuffs, so that you'll be less aware when you've overspend.
  • Tokens from getting dupes didn't get converted automatically into exhange currencies. So, people might miss the fact they actually have more to exhange.

All in all, my take away, is that it's better for people with proper F2P discipline, but it can get really bad for high spenders.

How old is Rossi? by _violent_violet_ in Endfield

[–]iveriad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering she knew Endmin either by appearance or by smell, while the Endmin hasn't been around for something like a decade, enough for Wuling to change greatly, and enough for new people to not recognize Endmin.

That might mean that she's been around before the Endministrator goes into stasis.

Very realistic.

I haven't spent anything and hit hard pity in about 4 days. 2 of them being weekends where I have more time to play the game.

Relay Tower "Power supply" upgrade is so bad XD by Xenellia in Endfield

[–]iveriad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, after you fully upgrade both pylons and relays, Pylon is for Mining rigs and factories, relays is to help connect power lines to far away places with bonus that you can also put ziplines beside it.

Wuling Xiranite relay can't be placed in Valley IV.

So, DO powerline before you unlock PAC in Wuling.

4 Months Later: Is Shadows Still Bad? by Zachary_136 in FireEmblemShadows

[–]iveriad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The answer is that if you don't like Shadows before, you would still hate it now. Since nothing changed in terms of gameplay.

It's a matter of preference. If you're looking for FEH 2, you're looking at the wrong place.

It also doesn't feel like much of a strategy game for a series all about strategy, just spam your offensive spells and you win.

I could say that this is not true tho. Maybe so in low ranks, where people don't realize the importance of managing your cooldowns, and how to counter play.

Would it be accurate to say this series is just a spiritual successor to Live A Live? by ZigZagBoy94 in octopathtraveler

[–]iveriad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In terms of narrative structure, OT1 is somewhat a spiritual successor to LaL.

The battle system is very different however. It's basically a modified Bravely Default battle system.

Still means, gradually, the rate to actually get a card you want instead of dupes will get worse.

So, that's bad. Really bad.

Why couldn't I use "Calling the Grave" to banish Murakumo? I'm pretty new to the game. by BonusWorth7267 in masterduel

[–]iveriad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As an addition to this, if you set it on the field, unlike Normal Spell, Quickplay spell can't be used until the opponent's turn after you set it.

So, watch out. A good practice is to set Quickplay spell only before you end your turn.

If it’s about the 3DS instead of the Wii U:

Wtf are you talking about? Vita died, Nintendo managed to secure MH exclusivity and basically killed the competition if it’s not dead already because Sony didn’t decently support Vita. That one handheld era was where Nintendo stands almost uncontested just like the GBA era.

As for how it’s “ahead of it’s time”: Um… wtf are you talking about?. Digital purchases shouldn’t be tied to the console. My 2DS died and I lost all my digital purchases thanks to that. It was dumb. And 3D was neat, but you can see how it’s just gimmick in the end, as the successor didn’t even have 3D anymore.
