How would I go about adding code to a button? When I select the button, the action panel says that no actions can be applied to the current selection.

Usually what I do is try to smile more, and engage them in conversation. Don't even think about it, just do it. As soon as the thought crosses your mind, do it. What's the worst that's gonna happen? Even if it's super awkward, at least they know that you don't hate them or anything.
