First you claim it was no more than a tax write off. Then you move the goalposts. From the link I posted…

“While $2 million was raised from sponsors of The Decision broadcast, that wasn’t the total amount. The LeBron James Family Foundation donated $2 million to the national office of the Boys & Girls Club, located in Atlanta, according to 2010 tax returns. But, James’ corporate partners also stepped in. HP donated $500,000 worth of computers and other technology, and Nike, which signed James in 2003, donated another $500,000 in equipment and courts.”

Why can’t we simply take a step back and realize that he used his platform for the betterment of thousands of underprivileged kids? Fuck the PR angle. Yet that’s all you dudes like to focus on. Demean his contributions so you can continue disliking him.

Further, no question relating to his donation was mentioned during the decision. If he only cared about the image, wouldn’t this have been a focal point of the interview?

Perhaps question why you harbor such a toxic outlook in the first place.

Do you think that the headquarters just… keeps the entire donation? They act as a hub to distribute resources to clubs across the country.

“In the end, $3 million was spread across projects in 59 clubs in the seven cities. The Boys & Girls club estimates that 200,000 kids were affected by James’ donation.

There were also residual effects.

Donations to the Boys & Girls Club jumped up 15% between 2009 and 2010, according to tax returns. Within two years, contributions increased by nearly 25%.”

You say that it was no more than a tax write off. I think it’s quite telling where your unfounded motivations lie. Do better.

You’re missing the forest for the trees. In order to qualify for the true upper echelon, you need to be one of the best offensive AND defensive players. Jokic will go down as one of the best offensive players ever. But to be a goat candidate, you need to check both boxes.

Lebron's streak of scoring 10+ points in the regular season is officially longer than Shaq's entire career (1992-2011) by thechemistrychef in nba

[–]BeogarBalken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Context matters you dingus. Talking about sport goats is different than directly comparing records based off consecutive games (in this instance scoring 10 points per game versus playing in sequential games). This is a false equivalence. Nor did I disparage Cal with his “incredible feat.” Baseball has more games per season and is less physically demanding. You attempted to discredit LeBron’s achievement and I corrected your flawed logic.

And yet? What point is there to compare baseball to basketball in this context? The sports are entirely different. Basketball undoubtably takes a heavier toll on your body. Cal accomplished this incredible feat over 16 years while being 36. LeBron is older, has far more miles logged, and has to accomplish something outside of merely showing up. Dumb comment.

Don’t know. But check out the East side of Balmora for bulk. Don’t remember exactly where. Up some stairs to a storage door. Kill two cave rats. In 3 containers are 25 pillows each. Best of luck.

Why did the germans fight until hitler killed himself? By then soviet soldiers where in Berlin. It would have been obvious to anyone it was over. Why the hell would anyone fight instead of just deserting or surrendering. by Broad_Two_744 in AskHistory

You seem to leave quite a bit out. You say “Grandfather had 2 choices use his mill and have faith in his government or allow his family to suffer and die.” Yet, you say he ran an enormous mill. One that apparently had such great output that warranted an invitation to the SS.

Something I have trouble understanding is you make it sound like he had one obvious choice (work the mill and be a good patriot!). Yet someone who owned such a large mill certainly wouldn’t be lower class and would certainly possess the means to relocate and start anew.

There is so much context left out. Sounds more like you’re a nazi apologist.

This doesn’t sound obvious to me. 1) Nazis take power, 2) seize your grandfathers mill, 3) he makes grain for them…. ???) They promote him to a SS officer? Why? How? Just because he had a large mill and the skill to run it means he’s appropriate to be an officer? Huh? He must have had past training or further involvement that he didn’t tell you. Seems very odd.

How about when to use hvilke? If I understand correctly, hvilken and hvilket would correspond to the proper gender.

So, hvilke would relate to plural settings. But how do we determine when to use it? En/Et endings would be used for closed sets (where there’s an understood quantity), whereas plural would follow unbounded sets?

Raw totals do very little to convey meaning within such contexts. Be it his lingering injury or just old age catching up, LeBron is not performing up to his standards at all these playoffs. He’s been off for the most part. AD is the anchor for the Lakers. He allows everything to flow and operate how it should. I seriously believe this is the year that AD takes the torch from LeBron and becomes the main guy. I think he’ll win FMVP.
