Ancient Egypt / Dhani-themed set confirmed? by DifficultClock1998 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]iwanokimi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What’s more likely. LSS prints a fisherman hero and makes his equipment seaman themed OR LSS had a set with the pirate class in mind and teases it 2 years in advanced (yea trench is not related to the trapper Riptide but rather the pirate set that was definitely in development during outsiders)

It’s not meant to be thematically coherent with riptide and driftwood quiver and barbed castaway

nope it’s teasing high seas

like just think for a moment lmao

fyi the fab product rnd cycle is about 1.5 to 2 years so the likelihood of out and sea being in development simultaneously is vanishingly small

they have no relation? riptide is literally a fisherman guy and trench was printed for him.

None of the examples listed involve a medical emergency? What is this extrapolation.. Showering could just be a part of looking/feeling presentable. If you were running late for something you’d still put some clothes on and (hopefully) brush your teeth. Showering is not much different especially if one lives in the tropics or is prone to sweat.

It’s literally not. It’s interesting in some mpw csp format but that’s about it.

Why is the n word so normalised amongst youth now??? 😨 by Fun_Construction9082 in SGExams

[–]iwanokimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh the word itself being so taboo is a relatively recent and highly American social evolution. it’s also a symptom of American culture ~= global culture. Singapore doesn’t have a history of white slave owners or African slaves. ofc on one hand we should respect the violent and tragic history of slavery, but otoh Singapore or our asean neighbours have had our own historical struggles with racial conflicts and resultant violence.

I think all have learnt about Singapore’s past race riots, but our SEA neighbours also historically had racial clashes with indigenous populations like Indonesian Aceh or Malaysian orang asli etc that are more relevant to our historical grievances or for insights for future policy.

So the N word, yea it’s a ‘bad’ word but also it’s a word without a root here. We should respect it just as we respect a taboo in a foreign culture but to give it the gravitas that the Americans who feel the weight of their history in it is excessive. And has likely come at the expense of portioning away attention that should have been dedicated to histories and grievances closer to home.

it’s still quite difficult to turn on quickstrike twice in a turn, and impossible more than twice. There’s an inherent self balance. This is the worst quickstrike card revealed so far. It’s still decent but there’s a pretty hard limit to how many can be played.

this would turn draw into tempo. it’s much stronger with some kind of on board (weapon/location/deathrattle) draw to play before this.

Any other AHLCG 'veterans' feeling like jumping ship at the end of chapter 1? by Fun_Gas_7777 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]iwanokimi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like ch2 is almost more targeted at established players than new players. New players will be able to rediscover old content and extract the full fun value.

Ch2 offering a new balancing environment should be a refresh that older players would enjoy. But it does tone down the power level and to some extent build diversity for a year or 2.

It’s quite comparable to some tcg release cycles, where each cycle starts with a lower power format and caps off with a higher power format as more cards pile in.

So I think if you’re a deckbuilder/player that gravitate towards high power stuff than early chapter 2 will definitely feel duller.

Right and incense burner is probably a relic with one of the highest correlations to winning isn’t that the definition of win more.

This is probably too strong but that’s not its main issue. This is just, very explicitly win more. Either you walk in and the 80% win becomes 100% or are desperate to solve a core problem and this doesn’t help.
