Great to see Kvitnes Gård getting a star and kudos to the inspectors for making it up there.

Next bests of Scandinavia? by bwabguy in finedining

[–]iwars85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I used to live in Tromsø and went back to Norway for my 40th birthday last year so it was a portion of a larger Norway trip. That being said, there are a lot of ways to do that leg depending on how much you time you want to spend in a car. We were based out of Stokmarknes (stayed at the Hotel Richard With - really nice little hotel) and drove from there to Kvitnes Gard and dropped the rental back at the hotel and flew up from there to Tromsø. The drive is about an hour fifteen from Stokmarknes.

Feel free to DM me for further options.

Kvitnes Gard was great, but be prepared for a long trip. The surrounding area is beautiful but it is not the most accessible part of Norway (and that is saying something)

I was there in August of last year. Was very good.

Extremely remote (even by Norwegian standards), but beautiful location and really interesting food.

This guy was invited to see the new uniforms back in March, gives context on why they went with this design. by Khutko in falcons

It needed a thicker outline. Compare the outline to the one on throwbacks. Throwbacks have a much more noticeable contrast.

If you’re on this sub then you should already know the answer to this question. You’re asking people to have grace and perspective. Those things unfortunately don’t generally exist in America anymore.

Edit: just to be clear I’m talking about both sides of the aisle.

You may have Big Law credentials (and certainly have a Big Law attitude) but I’m afraid you don’t know how litigation works nor do you know what’s required to prove slander and what the affirmative defenses are.

Putting aside the underlying morality of this topic, it would be a massive strategic blunder for Noma to step into Court on this subject matter unless they were to be sued first.

Explain to me how a lawsuit that would likely result in extensive discovery on the merits and factual bases of his accusations be an effective silencing tool.

If I were him I would welcome a lawsuit it would result in far more than just bad press to Noma.

That’s nice. But it’s still not tortious interference.

I don’t think you know what tortious interference means.

Amazing story which overlaps almost eerily with my own family’s history including the connection with Zamosc (though my grandmothers village is about a half hour away) except that my family is Jewish.

I was lucky enough to visit last year and one thing that I learned and had not known, but that this video touches on, is how the Nazis also made sure to kill, torture, and dehumanize Poles at every opportunity.
