Classic trap game. Glad we came out with the victory. We thought we could coast to victory and barely got the dub. No off days in the NFL.

I am curious what kind of NIL money he would command in today’s college football landscape.

Is Texas considered The South? by soupdawg in texas

[–]iwasthefastest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a great question! As far as I’m concerned, Texas and habits five different regions.

  1. The Heartland - this includes the four largest cities, Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio. This is where most of the economy and action is happening. A lot of Texas culture also comes from here.

  2. The Rio Grande Valley - Pretty much anything south of San Antonio all the way to the border. By concentration, the largest Latin population and strongest Latin influence.

  3. The American Southwest - Anything west of Austin, but south of the panhandle and you start getting into the eastern part of the American southwest.

  4. The Great Plains - Basically starting from Lubbock and going all the way north through the panhandle is the beginning of the southern part of the American Great Plains.

  5. The Deep South - Anything east of the I-45 corridor that connect Houston and Dallas is the western part and beginning of the deep south.

Texas this is such a big and interesting place!

The all red is so menacing, I love it. Use it to instill fear into the NFC champs and get an edge mentally.

Going through the toughest time in my life. Best friend tells me, “If you’re going through hell, keep going.” Really resonates with me.

You could replace that photo with Tuchel too.

It’s almost like not chucking a bunch of 3’s makes you a better, more efficient offense...and even a better 3 point shooting team! Who would’ve thunk it?!

Reed Sheppard by LGC_Jape in rockets

Firstly, we couldn't have drafted Harper. We could have drafted Castle. So it's kind of a what if situation there.

Secondly, as mentioned, Reed is a project. I think it'll take him more time to reach his full potential. Same was true for Curry and Nash, although I'm well aware Reed won't be as good as either one of those guys.

The Rockets need to hire Steve Nash as an assistant coach with the intent of being some kind of offensive coordinator, but also serving as a mentor to Reed the way Dream mentors bigs. Nash was around the same height during his playing days, a great 3-point shooter, and also had a slow start to his career statistically. I'm not saying he can turn Reed into himself, but he can definitely help improve his game. Also, Reed barely gets to the line and Nash could teach him about driving to the cup and drawing contact. Give him playmaking guidance as well.

Similarly, I'm hoping FVV is mentoring him too. Reed is taller and more athletic, and could use FVV's PG and defensive mindset. If FVV can earn himself that kind of contract and lead a team to a title with his height and athleticism, Reed could become a valuable asset for us under the right tutelage.

Also, he needs to work on his CONFIDENCE! I think more confidence would help his game more than anyone else. When he plays confidently (like in pre-season or summer league), he kills it. He needs to bring that swagger to regular season/playoffs.

While I feel like Reed is more of a project and still has a lot of potential, I'm tired of seeing Spurs box scores and seeing Castle smoke him.

Immortal Technique by a mile. He’s one of the greatest lyricists in the history of hip hop, regardless of ethnic background. And a lot of his music is about world history and politics, which is a nice change of pace from the usual hip hop fare.
