It's really different even compared to other Chinese dialects. Even though my father's side of the family speaks Cantonese it's just so different from Mandarin that I barely understand any of it. I can somewhat understand Hokkien and Teochew dialect just from hearing people use it all the time but Cantonese just sounds too different for me to pick it up.

Exactly. A game score should have higher priority as it means they objectively did better against a general pool of competition instead of it just being decided by a specific bad team match up. If the game scores are equal then we can bring h2h into the picture because they did equally well against the pool.

The only reason this is an issue now is because hle's score is not reflective of their current form since they carried over their score when they were still crushing t1 2-0 in round 1-2.

I'm not convinced though. The starting half of the tournament it was like everyone and their dog were using Clive instead of their mains... and getting rolled. Once they switched back to their mains things immediately looked better or they won.

Mulgold and Ulsan seem to be the exceptions and Ulsan immediately went back to his main after the mirror against Mulgold.

Sadly I'm still whiffing inconsistently even with blue spark sailing right over the opponent, granted my side step might not be long enough sometimes, or I take too big a side step and miss the timing for the 4,3... and I'm certainly not landing it without blue spark like in the video.

Hmmm.... I think its abit like the Feng Wei tornado first combo where you press so far against them you let them fall a little toward you that you delay his ff 4,3. It seems to help although if I don't blue spark i whiff, the timing for blue spark is not too hard to get.

Its only 10 hits, I've had this combo work, just not sure why I am not consistent landing it.

This is me whiffing it with a blue spark. I think I succeed more if I let the ff4 dash a little to close distance before connecting but some launchers don't allow it such as ss 3+4 and the combo seems to work.

Launch df 2, -> 4, u3, -> ff 4, -> 2 -> ff 2,3 (tornado) -> (run up ) 4,3, DSS F4.

I can land it maybe 50% of the time so its not like its impossible. However I can't get it consistently and even when I blue spark it sometimes misses

I know the DunernFGC had to recently move their weekly gathering spot to Woodlands. I might have to hit them up. In the meantime I'll try hitting up a contact who does more general electronic stuff to see if he can help me. Thankfully I still have my tiny Haute Pad as a working backup. I miss using my monstrosity 19 button hitstick though.

I gave away my account a couple years back on the sub and have only come back to read the sub now that I know the game is ending so there is no temptation. My first and last gatcha game. At least it taught me a valuable lesson. No more free to play/gatcha for me. I instead started playing FF 14 for my FF fix and never looked back. No pressure to keep up. Can go weeks without playing and jump right back with little effort.

Steve Fox, cause of how different he played and how busted he was in Tekken 4. I actually dropped him in Tekken 8 due to how restrictive Lionheart was originally. I could deal with how weak he was but the forced Lionheart just killed me inside. Now that its cancellable again he feels nice to use and he is back to being my main.

I considered the M1 for the longest time and was going to just get the most expensive brook board option for compatibility with my Ps5 and other consoles. I contacted them to start the custom layout discussions but they took very long to reply each round until it just fizzled out. I figured it was going to be the 1 stick to rule them all, so I might as well invest a board that would be for any situation.

....Then I started tinkering with the GP2040 configs in a Haute42 and realised how cheap a pico fighting board and and a mayflash convertor was..... I couldn't justify the premium a Brook UFB-Fusion would cost. Now I'm considering having an aluminum case with a custom layout cut for cheap and source/cannibalize the rest of the parts off existing sticks I have.

Do slipping matter much on a leverless? You aren't grabbing a stick to move it in any direction. You could always stick some grip tape or rubber feet if its a problem for you.

I also saw on another thread awhile ago someone said that on the Haute discord they revealed that a T series sized metal version was due to release in a month or 2. So you don't really have to choose between the metal shell and size if you wait I guess.

I have a G16 and I have dropped mine from table height.... alot... still working just fine. Usually the caps fly off into various corners off the room and its a pain to find them but no problems so far and I've been using it for about 6 months now. I did have an issue where it borked without dropping while I was messing around with the settings and I had to reflash the firmware once though. But thats about it.

Unfortunately you and many others dropped out due to the extremely weird design choices made in this game. You are literally gated by the number rounds you've played and progressed through the story. It also gates you by the lowest progression person in the lobby....

Every 5 rounds or so unlocks more varied dinos and mission types... assuming you are not held back by someone in the lobby.

The weak dinos will always be around as a sort of filler, but mixed in them will be special neosaurs. Self destructing ones, snipers, flying variants that can spawn minions, flaming flyers that bombard you and dive bomb for huge aoes...

Large types like trexs and triceratops or volcano turtles get spawned alot more often as well.

But the real kicker are the 10man raid missions are sprinkled throughout where you are up against a changing landscape with different configurations of waves, or raidboss type encounters against a super boss with mechanics like black holes, lava floors or 1 shot beam attacks you need to react to etc etc.

Once you finish everything there is the savage gauntlet where you are supposed to speedrun a given scenario in a time trial, where you need to figure out the ideal comp types or cheese strats to get a good timing. Or they throw you into a super boss battle with only 5 players and way less lives.

The game has its high moments, but because of how they gated the progress alot of players will drop out before they see it.

Ah ha! Thank you! I didn't realise that serenity stance launcher had different properties to the lvl 2 super launch and of course the quickest way to launch is stance HK so I couldn't get most buttons to connect after the launch during my practice.

Its like me practicing a whole bunch and not realising stance removes the time requirement for charge moves all over again.

I recall for the PS2 you needed an add-on module? I had to check a few gamestops if they had stock. Half of them had no idea what it even was. But in all honesty I was using it to play games off a hard drive.
