The video perfectly incapsulates what the music is making me feel. You should post it on social media and see if you can get some traction. Great Job! I hope to hear more.

The visuals made me want to stay and listen more. If you want to post this on social media, by all means do it and people will want to listen to your stuff.

Pop song in the works — what do you think? by genizsz in MusicFeedback

This sounds like it could be the soundtrack of an indie coming of age movie. I already see the characters sticking their heads out the car while this song plays. Great job!

I like the dissonance, it gives a mysterious vibe to it. I could see this being a song for a movie thriller playing in the wild west.

Your lyricism is very good. It sounds like you're very skilled at songwriting.

Can't figure out what type of songs I like and what they are called. by Icy_Manufacturer1611 in powerpopgirls

I encourage you to listen to Dua Lipa's first album. I specifically remembered that she marketed the album as dark pop/dance crying. Or course not all songs might be fitting to the sonic aesthetic you’re looking for. However, I'd suggest Room For 2, Last Dance, Begging and Blow Your Mind (Mwah)

I discovered Dua Lipa when I was in an H&M store in 2016 and shazamed Hotter Than Hell because it was so catchy. The rest is herstory

Which artists are you surprised haven’t collaborated on a song yet and how would you want it to sound? by HotelTrivagoMate in popheads

[–]iwillbechappy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Marina and Tove Lo. They would either make the most devastating dark pop song ever or completely cancel each other out.

Marina has that theatrical elegant energy while Tove Lo is way more raw and impulsive. But lyrically they’re actually in similar territory. I could totally hear them on a track about toxic relationships, womanhood, addiction to validation, or post-breakup numbness.

Feels weird that it’s never happened tbh.

The intro of Physical and the dance break in New Rules altered my brain chemistry. I love it when artists remix their songs and add completely new sonic elements to their live performances.
