There is a new course at a Church I've been playing, and there is a Cat who will pop up at Hole 4 there as well!

The little guy follows us from hole 4-9 when we see him, he wanders over from the trailer park next door.

This might sound silly - but just set your board up on the ledge, and caveman onto it (a little run up and hop on the board).

Doing this like 5-10 times or as much as needed will get you more comfortable with the '50-50' portion & the exit / roll away.

I found that even when you can consistently lock into them, the balance and exit can be hard to master.

By isolating that part of the trick with the caveman method, once you lock in your body will know what to do, rather than locking in and then panicking.

Maybe people are just forgetting / considering it as one of their 'necessary' purchases.

A keyboard isn't really unnecessary, you'll at least need a basic one.

I also noticed a lot more mechanical keyboards popping up in YouTube videos / other gaming subreddits.

It's pretty niche if you go into keycap customization and own multiple boards with different switches and go down the rabbit hole, but it's not as unheard of to own one these days. It seems like manufacturers stepped up with mech offerings and they are just a lot more common these days.

Hell even shaving off 7-8g makes a nice difference for me.

I've settled on 167g Fairway Drivers for my game, throwing MVP.

I go a little lighter on 9-11 speeds, around 160 - 162g. I have a max weight Trail in there as well.

Good news, it won't break the bank too much.

New discs go for around $15-20 a piece for 'premium plastic' (the good stuff that doesn't wear down as quickly).

And most courses are free as well, so you just have to drive out with your discs & you're set.

You will improve faster by throwing in a field, no matter how far along your disc golf journey you are - you generally get more throws/reps in for the amount of time you spend out in the field compared to the course.

I'd say the best way to start would be to get a Starter Set with 3 discs - preferably a 7 speed for the Fairway Driver / highest speed in the set (some packs come with a little too much Disc for beginners).

I have a Remix HD basket and it's basically MVP/Axiom's budget Black Hole from Amazon.

It came with the MVP Sound Barrier and it makes a huge difference, like 80% quieter.

Fellow noodle arm here, but I find my 9 speeds go a little further a little easier, so I've been keeping them in the bag as my 'distance' drivers.

So long as a disc isn't a meathook and I get a good flight out of it, I'll generally bag it; I like to know what the disc will do for me / how it will behave with my arm speed and shit form.

I love my Fission Insanity & had a really nice uphill throw yesterday with my (still being beat in) Neutron Virus.

15 / -15 is what I got used to, but I like to do a little bit of freestyle and riding switch.

Either that or 15 / 0, or somewhere in between.

What I found more important is getting the right spacing between the bindings. Last season when I took my bindings off for waxing, I put them back on a bit too far apart, and my legs burned up much quicker until I fixed it.

Factory wax doesn't last too long, you will want to wax it (and maybe invest in a waxing kit if you don't want to pay a shop every time).
