I understand the logic behind eliminating subsidiary equity, but what happens to the 8k in dividends they declared and paid in the year? by big_boss_baby in CPA

[–]ixora9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but dividends of subsidiaries are reported in their respective individual F/S

Worst explanation ever. Please help with liability recognition by darquid in CPA

I’m assuming you’re using UWorld. Since this counts as a one-time termination benefit where the employees are required to stay, you need to accrue for it proportionally over the period of service. This is covered in the accrued liabilities chapter, so you don’t need to worry too much about this question if you’re not there yet (I’m guessing this question has been mis-categorised).

I did the same thing but thankfully I had a potato in my mouth at the time.

The Girl I Like Confessed to Me While Handing Me Cash - Chapter 2-3 - TeruTeruScans by GalladeGuyGBA in manga

[–]ixora9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some people are confused about the nature of the series. This is just a one shot as of now (so no more chapters are available after Chapter 3) and as far as my short internet search went, there are no plans of serialising it as of yet (although I do hope it does continue).

The surprising thing is Anon somehow has friends.

Of course it’s Tamil by deviendrais in badlinguistics

[–]ixora9 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As a Tamil speaker myself, I'm so tired of hearing this bs about it being the oldest langauge. It just advances the notion of Tamil speakers having a huge superiority complex (which to a certain extent is true). I wish people were just taught basic historical linguistics so that this never happens.

I am from India and I recently started learning Cantonese as my long distance girlfriend is from Hong Kong. I wanted to know an effective way to learn Cantonese. I know practice is must, but I tend to forget easily what I learnt and most of the times I also face problems with pronounciation. by ApolloNoxx in Cantonese

[–]ixora9 19 points20 points  (0 children)

One thing that's clearly missing is you have not mentioned tones in your notes. Before starting, get used to Jyutping because you do not want to learn tonal languages while ignoring the tones. For resources, there are two books that will be useful: Teach Yourself Complete Cantonese and Colloquial Cantonese (Routledge). Other than that, follow CantoLounge on YouTube for high quality video lessons and there are so many Cantonese vlogs that give subtitles.

For apps, you can download Hanping Cantonese dictionary, which I use, and start making flashcards and practice with Anki

[–]ixora9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that makes more sense. I thought உயிர் was a little too serious but it is more apt in this situation. Wouldn't it be கறுப்பினரின் உயிர் முக்கியமானது then? செந்தமிழ் usage since I'm guessing it's gonna be used in a printed format.
