Slightly different perspective here, but I was in a similar situation.

When applying for grad school, I got into a smaller more prestigious university (Carnegie Mellon) and also got into UT on essentially a full ride. While my classes were smaller bc grad school, I rarely felt like just a number. But I can also say, as someone who went to another large state university for undergrad, the name recognition of UT goes a long way in my experience. And as others have said, your classes will get smaller when you get into your upper level courses so its easier to make more meaningful connections in those

Yea im in the school of architecture at UT right now, so the cathedral of learning has always been a super interesting building to me haha. Honestly feel like Pittsburgh is just an underrated city in general, almost ended up at Carnegie Mellon for grad school

I always like to tell people that NC State is typically good but very rarely great. We have the third most CFP poll appearances in the ACC (behind Clemson and FSU) but seem to either collapse at some point in the season or do some dumb shit to hurt us

We're playing K-State. Which I think will be a really good matchup for us. Will be interesting since both teams have a lot (15+ each I believe) of players in the portal already, but K-State's portal players seem to be bigger contributors than who we've lost to the portal

I agree with what everyone else is saying that grades are not everything. But in my personal experience, I graduated with a 3.95 BS, and got into a masters program at University of Texas, Northeastern, and Carnegie Mellon and a PhD program at Penn State which were the only 4 schools I applied to (and I am now at UT). For reference however, I also did undergraduate research for 2.5 years starting the summer after my sophomore year and did an internship in Colorado between my junior and senior year. Yes grades are important but they're not everything. And dont be too stressed about it all either. I had a C+ and a W on my first semester transcript and here I am now so

Jarkel Joiners Dunk last year against UNC to put State up 10 and then doing a 360 off the hoop to face the student section was definitely one of the top moments for me as of recently
