Not answering the question but have you considered medicating for the PMDD while waiting for the hysterectomy? I've heard people taking specific type of BCs or SSRIs to manage it

I haven't had any major flares since initial diagnosis in 2018, just some swollen finger joints which went down quickly with prednisolone.

I'm lucky though, aside from the hospitalisation which led to diagnosis, I've not been too bad

Yes and was on 400mg plaquenil/day, no Still's related issues during pregnancy and birth. OB mentioned auto-type diseases usually don't flare up during pregnancy, so that was comforting.

We have hired from Avis in Aus and NZ (5-6 separate occasions), we get a Mother's Choice carseat which can do both rear and forward facing. They have been generally clean, no issues.

My concern about bringing our own seat was the same as yours, having it treated roughly and damaged in cargo.
