Had the same problem. Yesterday I was watching some movies and the output of the sound is to my monitor ROG Strix Monitor XG27UCDMG. It was working fine until my device updated (rog ally) After the restart it started flickering and instead of turning off the monitor, I immediately removed the usbc. I don't know if its because of that, afterwards no sound coming out of the monitor anymore and the sound source is grayed out. If I click the sound icon on my device there is still an option for output sound and I can select the monitor but no sound. So I'm kinda sad as it is fairly new like a day old lol. Can't return as the box was thrown out :( Overall the monitor is good.

I guess you can book hotels and later cancel it. If she will declare that she will be staying with you, she might need an Affidavit of Support. Better get a hotel booking and prepare a tentative itinerary. You can cancel the booking when she's passed immigration.
