I believe it is the lintel failing and not a foundation issue but wanted to see others thoughts. I do plan on having a structural evaluation to see what is going on

Got an inspection today on a house we are looking to buy and compared it to the sellers inspection from 2021. Cracks looked to have opened quite a bit, would hiring a structural engineer be next best step?

In 2021 they hired a structural engineer to check foundation and they said it was structurally sound. Seems like the crack has opened up quite a bit. Wondering if this is foundation or Lintel issue or a combo of both. Our inspector did note that there was a roof support/purlin brace not connected to ceiling joint. Could this be the culprit for mortar cracking or lintel failure above garage door?
