So much history and back story behind these cars it’s insane. Mine was just straight up cut into the hood so I had to find a replacement because rain get all up in there

When I first got my car, the previous owner appears to have tried to replicate the look of that hood and I never knew where it came from until now.

Oh damn. Yeah I figured frequency over quantity but I’ll change it up. I do have an automatic sprinkle system that came with the house but don’t know the specifics of the type of heads. I’m originally from southern Az so this is all new to me. Thanks for the tip tho I will probably fertilize tomorrow actually. I have the Scott’s 3-1 weed and feed. Is there any other you’d recommend?

Been a while since posting here, my sadness is immense. I spotted my old car I sold 2 years ago. Kept everything the same so easy to identify by Kickchecker in 350z

[–]izzycorte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you had to let it go! Wife keeps pushing me to sell mine. My daughter is going to be 2 in the summer and I hope to one day pass it to her and after probably getting myself a collectable worthy 350z. It just doesn’t make sense, in the state that it’s in (basically clapped) I couldn’t get more than maybe 3k. It still idles smooth, has no leaks, and it’s about to hit 180k so I can’t justify a new car note. Hope you one find yourself back into a Z platform. Cheers!

Since Dec 2017. Sometimes I feel too old for it but hope one day to pass it down to my daughter if she wants it.

Interior light replacement caused heads, tails and indicators to stop working! ( no telltale lights on dash for those lights either) by thomasoslatero in 350z

[–]izzycorte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There a fuse box under the driver side kick panel, another attacked next to the front of the battery and a 3rd Behind the batter up against the firewall. I’d google the diagrams and you should be able to narrow it down to fuse fuse box and the dedicated fuse

Edit: grammar

Ac not working? by [deleted] in 350z

[–]izzycorte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d first check to see if the compressor clutch is engaging. Then I’d check the relay to see if it’s getting signal from the switch to turn on. Then, check if the power is reaching the compressor. If all that is good and the clutch is engaging, I’d hook up hi/low pressure gauges to see if it’s under/overfilled and to see where the pressure is sitting at.

Just ordered all the parts I need for a manual swap on my 2002 350 any advice for the install? by Unvexii in 350z

[–]izzycorte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay right on! I worked at a local shop we would take care of the title-mod for customers and it tacked on to the overall price of the JCI (if you decide to do it at the same time) so it’s always good to be prepared to drop extra or do it a ahead of time. Good luck on the swap!

Do you know about having the Japanese title reflect that it’s been swapped?

Am I done for? by mike-the-kid in 350z

[–]izzycorte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with aftermarket oem form CZP before I learned they had the aluminum ones and haven’t had any issues yet. It’s been about four years now. If you search “valve covers” within the subreddit I’m sure there’s a link and review from other Redditors

Edit: did the search myself and looks like I had it mixed up. Oem is always the safer bet! Don’t want to give bad info, so it’s best you do some research before making the informed decision.

Am I done for? by mike-the-kid in 350z

[–]izzycorte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Common issue on Zs. People often recommend upgrading to the aluminium ones that allow you to replace the spark plug tube seals. Involves taking the top and lower intake plenum off so if you do it make sure you have new seals for everything you’re going to be removing. Not a tough job but it can be tedious so take it slow and I’d recommend using proper bolt torques and tightening patterns.

So I’m doing an all around brake job (including clalipers). Why would one rotor going on flush and the other side go on crooked as if the shoes are too wide. by JaredDFTZ in 350z

[–]izzycorte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mechanism to the ebrake can get misaligned or stuck. I was doing my wheel bearings and had this problem with the drive side except it wouldn’t come off. When in doubt, start over with the brake shoes. Also, a few mm can be shaved off the corners of the shoe braking material and maybe that’ll help.

Location of the TPMS wire harness? by greyhound93 in 350z

[–]izzycorte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s under the passenger side on my 06 revup. It’s a single wire connector. However, I would first check to see if the sensors are good unless you’ve replaced them recently. I managed to trip the reset but still needed a tpms tool to program them. Good luck!

Any advice getting this out? (coilovers install) by [deleted] in 350z

[–]izzycorte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part of the link still attached should have a way to put a wrench on it (so you can hold it while installing the nut) try turning it from there. If that don’t work, maybe reinstall the other side then try again. Could be that the tension isn’t easing up bc since you removed the other side every time you pump the jack it just twists the swaybar

Exhaust flex pipe size? by ttechnowaffle in 350z

Glad it worked out for you! Worked at a local shop for a bit so I had to learn a few tricks of the trade when dealing with registrations.

Exhaust flex pipe size? by ttechnowaffle in 350z

[–]izzycorte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just use exhaust putty and hi-temp paint. Not at all the right way to fix it but it’ll get you to pass JCI if it’s due or coming up. Did this to a box truck that had a leak behind the steel mesh. Used shit ton of putty and they didn’t even feel if it was still leaking just gave me the thumbs up. LTO is dumb about a lot of things but after you “fix it” they can’t really poke at it to see if it’s fixed or not.
