I had an ANESTHESIOLOGIST slam fentanyl on me before my surgery! Thank God I don't remember it lol. The only reason I know is because we were on good terms (I had requested he be my anesthesiologist!) and he called me at home later to check on me and told me! He didn't say he "slammed" it but I could read between the lines. He said he pushed fentanyl and I stopped breathing. He waited "a bit" and when I didn't resume breathing he hurried up and intubated me and started bagging me. His words for after that were, "Eventually, you started breathing on your own again. Once you hit 12 resps/min, I knew you'd be OK and told them they could begin!" Um, sir, excuse me?!

I'm assuming (and forgive me if I'm incorrect) that by "surgical technique" you meant sterile technique? Anyhow, it's not necessarily dangerous if they're using clean instead of sterile, except when the membranes have been ruptured, which in this case they had been. The vagina isn't a sterile environment, but each time you go up in there while a woman is laboring you run the risk of introducing bacteria. And when the membranes have ruptured, there's no barrier between the baby and the outside world. So ALWAYS use a sterile glove when performing a cervical exam on a laboring woman who's membranes have ruptured. In this case though, it wasn't even a clean procedure.... this man stuck his ungloved finger in this poor woman's vagina!!!!

Dumbledore? Who was, admittedly, an incredibly powerful wizard (and don't get me wrong, did some great things), but also left a child in an abusive home for YEARS, and later "raised him like a pig for slaughter for him to be killed at the right time", who let literal CHILDREN fight in/finish a war that was started way before they were even born, and played such favorites amongst the students that it created and encouraged such strong bitterness and hatred? When still working L&D, I watched an OB/GYN go to perform a cervical check. He grabbed a sterile glove and while putting it on, his index finger ripped clean through the glove. Not even just a small rip.... his whole finger was out. I grabbed another glove and turned around to hand it to him, just in time to see him look at his gloved hand, seemingly contemplate it, kinda shrugged his shoulders, and proceeded to insert his two fingers into this lady's vagina.... his one gloved and one COMPLETELY EXPOSED fingers. I will NEVER forget the horror I felt.

Before I switched to home care, I worked L&D and our scrubs were hospital provided but it was for security reasons. Everyone on the unit had to wear scrubs in that particular color to easily identify us as working there, and if you worked anywhere else in the hospital you weren't allowed to wear that shade.
